The very first website I did as a hobby was called "Foo Files", it was a fansite that nobody visited.

You have to wonder if the plans hinted at for the 20th will actually happen for the 25th:

I Like your thinking!

The band have also talked about rerecording the first album as a band.... Not a fan of this idea, but I guess it's a possibility.

Maybe it could be a live recording?

Re: Foo Fighters Files

Because the 20th coincided with touring Sonic Highways, which had been a bit of an undertaking to record and then had city-specific club gigs, it's easy to see why it didn't happen for the 20th. But if you really thought it was a good idea it'd have been easy to pencil in a 5 year plan.

Id die a happy girl if they re recorded the first album & played it in full live

The last anyone spoke of it, they'd decided against the re-recording idea:

"Drummer Taylor Hawkins also made an appearance to explain that he discouraged Grohl from re-recording the debut Foo Fighters album - which was originally just recorded by Grohl, on his own - after saying that it was one of his own favourite albums: I do not want to piss on that Picasso!" (Howard Stern, 2014)

Fair enough but I want to hear the whole thing live!

I can definitely verify that they DID plan on doing the tour part again. At least as far as thinking it over and it being a real possibility/endeavor at the time.

Dammit the Trocadero in Philly JUST closed!

I think they'll just play a few more songs, that's all.

Seriously does anyone have to ask why...

Kill More... :p

My 2p/c:
1) There will be something live - it may be one thing or a series. It will be "old" focused.
2) I'd like to think 1) will be recorded and put out - at least (recorded & advised will follow) as part of the 25th stuff. I think if recorded, then released by (4th July 2020) is (though possible) pretty unlikely.
3) IF they do it (the live "something") Watt has to be asked, prob Vedder too etc
3) IF they do it (the live "something") AND it is in just ONE place - then narrow the people involved to include Lang and Jones... even though it prob wont just be a live first album. And expect it to happen in Washington...

Though if it WAS a live first album, even where the band spent months perfecting it just to prove they could not only still play it start to finish 25 years later, but as close to perfect as they can vs DG 1994 by himself, and live...

...then I think you'd have 20% of people going it's a total and utter waste of time and 80% of people calling it a masterpiece. It would be utterly polarising.

Personally I live for it - but I'm unquestionably way more bound to that album than is healthy.
