Club Tour

I have one question for Mr. Davey Grohl. How do we all fit in the club? Only 1 out of 30 people of everyone who attends a Foo Fighters arena show can get in? I think its a big clusterf*&k . I'm asking for a Scavenger Hunt. Find the golden ticket and you win. 9:30 Club holds 1,200 and Electric Factory holds 2,800 .

Re: Club Tour

You're assuming he was being serious (I highly doubt he was) but even if he was that's the whole point of club gigs (especially if they're done after the arena shows), they're exclusive and special, not for everyone. If you wanted to see them most people could at the arena, now if you want to see them again you have a chance of getting a ticket. Everyone should have an equal chance.

Just use the international dibs protocol

Re: Club Tour

Oh they'll just do 30 nights in each city, with nobody being allowed to go twice (so you fuckers can't bitch about the setslists)

Duh

I'm curious to see what he'll say for the Boston show. The cool places they played in New England don't really exist anymore. Like they played Lupo's four times and then it closed and re-opened later, taking over the location of the old Strand Theatre (where they also played)

Avalon's long gone.

Somerville Theatre, Avalon, Palliadium, the venue that is in Foxbourgh, MA on the Gillette Stadium property. I think for the heck of it you play all the songs so no one bitches and you play the albums in order by tracking not from start to finish... but backwards. From the end to the beginning. No one would know that was coming.

It's not gonna happen. He's been saying it in every city this tour.

Somerville Theatre isn't really a rock venue at all. Also, Avalon has been closed for years.

And the Palladium is freaking Worcester. Worcester doesn't count for shit.

I would love nothing more, but he was also trying to get the crowd to sing louder on backup to Wheels. If they follow up on that, they win yet another "Coolest Fucking Band on Earth" award. And I want in to that show!!

haha yeah they'll never play Bowery. but if they do I'll wait outside the fucking venue 3 days early if i have to

I remember Dave said he wanted to do a club tour in the fall when I saw them back in April. It'd be so awesome if they did it but I know it would never work out, unless it was a secret one off show

It would have to be secret a la the Twitter shows earlier this year, or a lottery draw like the postboarders only show back in '01. Otherwise it would sell out immediately.

Don't forget the Chicago Metro show before Lolapalooza. A club venue and a clusterfuck getting tickets. A few lucky fans got to see a great show.

yeah even when they played at Irving Plaza in NYC in '07 I think? it was tough to get tickets (I cried when I didn't get one hahhaha). I just can't imagine their doing it now (though I wish they would)

Re: Club Tour

If this turns out to be true and is announced in advance I would go bankrupt for flights/hotel to go over to the US if I got a ticket. I was in London on the day of the last club show there and could of gone, but I got a phone call to say my Mum was coming out of hospital I knew I had to go home and be there for her. I don't regret that decision for a second I'm just hopeful the chance to go to a club gig will come round for me again.
