Hollywood Vampires

So it appears this la based supergroup (Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Jonny Depp) have a record coming out that features, among others, Mr Grohl....

it wouldn't be a 'supergroup' without Dave Grohl

They performed at the Roxy this week....I tried like hell to pick up tickets so Juls and I could go but they were next to impossible to obtain. Yesterday, the radio station was giving away a pair...sadly, my luck did not apply there. I'm sure it was a hell of a show!!!

You know, for all the years i've been wishing that Depp would share his musical side a little more, and for the line-up he managed to get, i'm rather indifferent about this. I don't know why.

It WAS quite a show, even though i kept thinking to myself how much of a shame it was they scheduled the gigs when the Foos were up north. Dave surely would have been a fun guest...

I put a bunch of photos/videos together from the show here: http://www.rockcellarmagazine.com/20...watch-concert/

I read a few reviews yesterday, it was the first I had heard of it, looked like some line-up on stage. Did I see Duff McKagan was there too? Love that guy.

Wow, you went?! Great pics. How was Depp? A real axeman? Or straight up rhythm?

He was on the far side of the stage from where I was (of course), so I didn't get a GREAT look. But, he looked to be a mixture of both maybe? There was a third guitarist, I think, but I couldn't recognize him. Backing band was Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and the mystery man (and someone else on keyboards/percussion I believe).

Finally got this album. It's a fun record. It's not going to be remembered as a classic album but it is a solid effort. If it had been all new material it might have more of an impact.
I don't get why Joe Perry is being labelled as being one of the core members. He hardly features on any of the tracks.
