Who will give the Million Dollar Demos as Christmas gift?
 

2012 was a great year for those with hope to hear the MDDs someday. We had a chance to listen to "Have it All", "Come Back", and the most important of all, know that the demos exist and are floating around out there.

So December 21 came, the world almost ended and the demos didn't leaked. So I was thinking... why not today? Christmas is a time of giving, of joy, of sharing. So why not share the demos today and make an entire community of people from all the world happy?

Yes, I'm talking to those 5 or more people that have it.

I could see some of the demos being included in some kind of "Anthology" like box set to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary or something like that.

So weird to think FF is in their 19th year (technically, 18th still, yea yea yea whatever). I think 20th anniversary would be great!!

Funny how five people got the demo, but no leaks! Five is not many, but wouldn't one of them want it to be shared? Even for a price?

I think it's a self pride thing. I mean, hell, they're some of the only people that have heard the whole thing aside from the band, management, family and some others.

But oh man do I want them :(

I personally know about two of the people (posters here) who have the demos . . . I had a promise to have them sent to me on the first of this year from one of them, but that kind of fell through.

I still think they should be shared, but a couple of things make me think there is a very decent chance they will be released in the near future. I'm hoping, anyways.

I am a huge fan of looking at the development of an album (like the Beach Boys Smile) and getting a GOOD quality version of the MDDs would be days of fun and analytic distraction.

It's nothing against them personally, I was pretty sure that some board members had the demos. It was nice at least to know they still existed when they surfaced in May.

But personally, I think the demos need to be released either by the holders or the band. I feel like these demos have circulated among the few for quite awhile.

I'm down with your theory too. The most important part of those demos for me is to hear the development of the songs themselves. Dave returning from drumming for QOTSA had a significant affect on the final album.
