Re: Getting old

Even older. My first Foo Fighters show was the UBC Student Rec Centre in Vancouver in '97. My second was in '98 when they did an afternoon set at Edgefest. 3rd was opening for RHCP in 2000. ...

Re: GA access with reserved seat tickets

Most concert's have a max capacity they can let on the floor (for safety reasons). It's usually pretty hard to get on the floor without a floor ticket. You usually get a wristband, plus they often...

Re: How We all became mega-fans

I was gradual. The first album, it was all promoted as the drummer from Nirvana starting his own band. I loved the first album, and Dave built it from there.

My first Foo's show was in '97 at the...

Re: "Official band announcement tomorrow night."

You can sort of do both. Pearl Jam is notorious for smaller tours and long breaks and bigger gaps between albums. Most of them have their own side projects and do their own thing until the band...

Re: foo fighters will outlast any rock group

I always figured Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters would be the last of the big rock groups (as rock music has waned in popularity).

Both bands have been around for 20+ years, both bands have never broken...

Re: Dave 2015 Record Store Day Ambassador / 'Songs From The Laundry Room' EP {merged}

I would agree. I think that was the same year the Nirvana Hormoaning EP got an RSD release. I showed up when the store opened. I was at the back of the line of a dozen people. They had enough...

Re: Dave 2015 Record Store Day Ambassador / 'Songs From The Laundry Room' EP {merged}

It is the major drawback about RSD. Many of the titles have small pressings and are instantly rare. It creates a big market for people to resell them. Thus people lineup crazy early, wait for...

Re: Dave 2015 Record Store Day Ambassador / 'Songs From The Laundry Room' EP {merged}

No copies left at my local store. Apparently they didn't get very many :( A little disappointing they were hard to find consider Mr. Grohl is the RSD ambassador :)

Re: Pre Sale was total B.S.! (pre sale disappointment threads merged)

I tried the Vancouver presale. Pretty mediocre tickets. No GA's. It was trying to give out lower bowls at the back of the arena. I'd rather be sidestage, the first section, or on the floor. ...

Re: Foo's on LIVE webcast April 12th 9 pm ET - The Late Show!

did anyone manage to capture this in HD, or does the CBS website only stream in SD? The highest resolution it would let me pull was 640x180. I tried using the stream catcher program. The same...

Re: Have you ever met the Foo Fighters (or one of them) face to face?

The first Foo Fighters show I saw was at the UBC Student Rec Centre in '97 (in Vancouver). Dave Grohl did a pre-concert radio interview with 99.3 the Fox and they played it over a PA system so...
