Some of those tracks weren't B Sides and may be exclusive to certain releases. Better Off was a best buy/walmart bonus track on Wasting Light for instance and Band On The Run was on a BBC sessions...

Re: Record Store Day 3-inch Record???

I'd disagree - Record Store Day is all about profiteering and greed. Forcing a double purchase of equipment plus media = more $$$.

Re: Record Store Day 3-inch Record???

This is some completely pointless gimmicky format that is never going to get any further serious releases.

I have a few versions of the Big Me single that I got on release so why do I want one on a...

Re: I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell Concert

Saw this get announced but the timing is impractical for me to make any arrangements - both geographically and the fact I've just started a new job so taking any sort of extended break so soon isn't...

Re: Aftermarket ticket sites

Depends on the company. The general rule to be safe is never use them, and just accept you missed out.

This.

A lot of them advertise tickets they don't have then try to acquire them cheaper. If they can't you won't find out until it is too late to lose even more money on hotels and transport.

Re: Europe 2019

I think England is unlikely but wouldn't count out Wales. I'd imagine that the Foos will have moved on from Europe after August.

Glasgow is sold out for day tickes but you can get 2 day tickets for...

Agree. The other gigs are far enough away from Reading to not compete.

London is a far easier commute from Scotland than Reading due to direct flights and train lines. Not sure about Wales...

Re: Europe 2019

My usual advice in those scenarios is to start moving to the back during the encores and leg it the minute it finishes or when Everlong starts. Its worth checking their recent setlists to judge the...

Re: Europe 2019

For Glasgow if you can't get a hotel to your liking, you may be able to get a hotel in Edinburgh and book a seat on a bus there. Its about an hour's travel.

happybus.co.uk and big green coach...

Its not that posh a bar, and you still have to pay for food and drinks in it!

Re: Europe 2019

If you do The Cure and Foo Fighters both nights you will effectively get a better festival in Glasgow.

Mogwai, The Twilight Sad, and The Joy Formiddable I think are the supports for The Cure. ...

Re: Europe 2019

Glasgow sorted.

Almost booked VIP too but it is unnecessary. Only difference with VIP is a private bar and posher toilets.

Re: Aftermarket ticket sites

In fairness the Foos did screw Viagogo at the O2 gig a couple of years ago by insisting on photo ID of the ticket booker. Its a bit harder to enforce for stadium gigs though - too many people.

Re: How much in advance are usually your dates announced ?

They won't be doing too many gigs next year as the main tour has finished for the album. Wherever they decide to play might not be where you want to go, so you might have to wait until the next...

Re: Europe 2019 (Currently just Germany)

August is probably out but I noticed that The Cure supported by Mogwai are playing in Glasgow in August as part of the Summer Sessions events.

I hope BST isn't an option - the views at Hyde Park are...

Re: Europe 2019

I think Transmt is too small, and tends to focus on the same group of bands that always headlined T in the Park or pop crap.

Anyway, it looks like there won't be many dates next year as in an NME...

It would be nice if...
