Re: Reading live stream

I think what IS black and white is that the band/management/whoever believe that to be the case or, perhaps more accurately, believe that method is the best way to ensure a great show each time....

Re: Reading live stream

Which gets exacerbated by the fact that the band prefer to play the hits, which is then likely to discourage some fans of the older albums from attending shows in favour of those who have the GH/new...

Re: Reading live stream

But that becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, surely? Don't play them as often, people don't tend to be inclined to listen to them, they'll get a worse reaction next time.

Re: Reading live stream

It does seem like a bit of a lost opportunity. Maybe they had planned more but shied away in favour of staying with the "tried and tested". I get why they might choose to do that.

Re: Radio 1 Annoucement?

Sorry, I should have made my point clearer. Was meaning that it was not the bands themselves turning up at the festival that would be unusual, it would be those bands on the punk stage. My bad.

All...

Re: Radio 1 Annoucement?

Seems a bit unusual to put either of those on that stage, especially given they aren't at the festival already for an announced set.

Re: Radio 1 Annoucement?

Always possible, but would have thought unlikely, especially given the whole Club NME thing that Dave did last week.

Given the focus on the weekend and its history in social media and the like...

Re: Chris Shiflett UK and Europe Tour 2019

Most of the shows in the US have been either the new album or from West Coast Town, as far as I'm aware.

Re: Foos and Pearl Jam at Woodstock?

So I said this elsewhere - the only night they could feasibly play would be the 16th, given other shows. And even that would mean that they couldn't get to the show in the UK on the 17th until less...

Re: Usa 2019

It's not technically DC. It's the other side of the river in Virginia (Arlington/Alexandria area). The only concert venue that I can think of in that area of Virginia is the wonderfully named Jiffy...

Re: Europe 2019

Yeah, Andy Copping has been after them for years and when they do a poll on the message board, they are usually near the top of the lists of people who are requested.

Not to mention that DL has had...

Re: Europe 2019

True, but the price of day tickets for most festivals is usually almost half the cost of a full ticket. And Download is usually a solid festival with a decent lineup. Reading has been going downhill...

Re: Europe 2019

They do early bird tickets where you have to hope for the best, but that's only probably 20% of the tickets. The rest go on sale after they start announcing. From experience, it has never sold out...

Re: CalJam18

I saw them support Gaslight Anthem back in the UK a few years ago. I was surprised that they weren't bigger than they are. He's got a fantastic voice.

Re: CalJam18
