Re: Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes

I've noticed they've prematurely declared sell-out for the weekend when there's still tickets on the Sunday.

Re: Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes

It has on-site parking for college staff and students. On days when it's open, the car park is closed to those without MK College identification. But when I went last year for KoL, it was open and...

Re: Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes

Ticket purchased for the Sunday. Schweet.

Yeah that's where I parked when I saw Kings of Leon last year. Although MK policy for gigs sees them close the road from the college to the venue for some...

Re: Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes

Not sure where to ask this but figured here's as good as anywhere. A friend writes for a local news site and is working on getting a media pass to this show. Is the best bet to contact SJM?

He said...

Re: Cancelled Gigs - what's next? What does the future hold? [Threads Merged]

Its probably the best I gots tbf. Well, that and my dad being in the mosphit at Rage Against the Machine's Christmas number one gig after being admitted to the gig on a ticket with my cousin's face...

Re: Cancelled Gigs - what's next? What does the future hold? [Threads Merged]

Tbf, Foos is a massive improvement on the UK version of Electric Daisy Carnival, which was at the Bowl on Saturday. I'm still a lil' techy on the 72 ticket price, but I guess as I'm going to be...

Re: Cancelled Gigs - what's next? What does the future hold? [Threads Merged]

Yeah there was a golden circle/barrier last time. I turned up at 1-2pm and was the last one to get a wristband in my GA queue. But when I was there for Kings of Leon last summer, the front was...

Re: Cancelled Gigs - what's next? What does the future hold? [Threads Merged]

Interesting. Milton Keynes is roughly 10 miles from my house, I do like the venue (clearly an exception on this one), and I enjoyed it there in 2011.

We'll see how it goes I guess.

Re: Instead of watching Foo Fighters rock Wembley Stadium tonight, I. ....

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine was out with some other friends and got so drunk that after falling asleep in the room they had booked, he woke back up, opened another room, and went to sleep in...

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

The UK version of Electric Daisy Carnival is playing there next month. Last summer they also had Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam and that fest. I think gigs are still playing on-off there, even if its no...

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

Aye I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people buying Glastonbury tickets buy them something like four months before the first headliner is confirmed.

Must admit Scissor Sisters opening for Muse in...

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

If nothing else, at least we have confirmation and a lovely message from Dave himself.

Its a shame but if it was medically infeasible to have the gigs, then I guess they had no choice. Hopefully...

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

I guess all you can do to help reduce some of the tension is to amuse yourself. Gallows humour and whatnot.

Much as I've been trawling for a second hand ticket (missed out in the sale), I wanna wait...

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

I wouldn't say Ticketmaster is confirmation yet. Its a potentially positive sign, but its not quite full confirmation yet.

I had mine refunded when The Black Keys cancelled their February tour.

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

Could imagine a residency in an arena tacked onto the November EU shows, but the O2 is fully booked through to March next year, Earls Court is now shut for gigs, and Wembley Arena would have to be...

Re: News - Dave broke his leg

Fuck that looks painful. Full marks to Dave for playing through the pain barrier. Here's hoping for a full recovery.

As for the next month, who knows? Could be touch-and-go, but I'd imagine he'd...

Re: Tour setlists discussion thread

I love the original Tom Sawyer so I'd be interested to hear a Foos version (haven't heard it yet), but I do agree 5 covers a night is excessive, not least when original material is being cut.

Should...

Re: Haven't had any random UK speculation for a while - Foos for Wireless 2015?

I would've been very surprised if Wireless had booked them - could you imagine Foos with David Guetta, Jessie J and (assuming he doesn't cancel again) Drake for company?

Saying that, Radio 1's Big...

Re: 2015 UK Tour Announced

I bought my ticket through AXS, so I suppose I would need to discuss it.

I have seen this mentioned on Zootopia (U2's official forum), and apparently you would need to discuss with the ticketer, but...

Re: 2015 UK Tour Announced

Ticket companies have said they now want to do that. It's presumably why I got my Kasabian Brixton ticket within the week I bought it, and had the paper copy for five months.

I'm more bewildered by...

Re: Thoughts on back to back gigs

At the Milton Keynes gigs, the sets were almost identical, but they had different guests and a few change arounds. Most acts like this don't really change them around in any case.

In any case, its...

Re: Foo's did it right, not like.....

I know The Killers have such a fan club, which apparently is two tier - one is free and one is $35 with exclusive pre-sale tickets and money off merch, although I've never joined it and rarely have...

Re: Wembley stadium level 5 tickets

I went Level 5 to see an England football match at Wembley in 2008. The view was impressive but my fear of heights didn't help - we were one row from the very back - and the players were like tiny...
