Re: Selling Foo merch collection :( tax help?

Does this help? The case study is very close to your own situation

It sounds to me like wouldn't be considered...

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

Oh you ended up in the balcony too? I assumed the first in line went downstairs

Yeah the people around me were also being lame. Pfff. But it was kind of interesting to see how the bands have to...

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

that was my thought from the audience!! it was so strange - must have been the first time in 20 years they played this song without the "ooh, oh-ohhh" singalong :D

Re: Good Grief???

no argument from me here. It is bonkers and unnatural and wrong!

also with each new album they have more big songs to add to the core setlist, so there's less and less room to be creative. I don't...

Re: Good Grief???

I think you're right in principle, it's not an all-or-nothing situation and they could mix it up a little more.

But I also think our fan glasses may be distorting our view of what the "big" Foo...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

I mean, I can kind of see how one could see it that way, especially if the music doesn't particularly appeal. But I disagree.

I love Dave's chats with the crowd, I loved the band intros, and I...

Re: Jump

Maybe from this video the Foos posted?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IFeL14lDex4

I don't know why Taylor's "jump!" make me laugh so hard... the whole thing is just funny. As was Dave trolling the...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

Yeah basically it sounds like he did better for a while after that incident but is now showing up drunk at shows again. Even drunk/high he can still give a hell of a performance though.

(ETA that's...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

It was my first time seeing them, and I loved it! The audience was a bit rough in my area, but somehow that worked with the general vibe :D . So wish the Foos would play arenas in the UK...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

Oh well, that's that then.

I'll be curious to hear what people think of the gig. There's lots of rumblings among QotSA fans that Josh is not doing well, and they cut a couple of shows short for no...

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

LOL don't worry I'm exactly the same...

love Uncle Dave's stories, but I could probably do most of his interviews for him at this point :p

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

Don't think he told the story on a talk show, but he did tell it at some accoustic show a while back. He was probably asked to come up with a McCartney story, and even he must only have a limited...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

Crossing everything for you. I will be so fucking jealous if it happens though... I was already getting a bit emotional watching Dave play his basic UP drum beat on Saturday, I'm not sure I could...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

Foo blues is real. :(

Just got myself Smashing Pumpkins tickets for October to try and cheer myself up, but so far it's not filling the huge Grohl-shaped hole in my life.

Re: Good Grief???

Hmm sure you aren't living in that alternate dimension where Dave never broke his leg and went on to play a different set at Glastonbury? :p

Ngl, I envy you a little bit. :)

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

Oh. So that's what happened then?

Not a bad trade-off. La Dee Da was awesome. And will likely never be played live again after this tour, since it isn't a single.

Forgot to say - did I dream it, or did Nate play the intro to Fugazi's Waiting Room during his solo?!!

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK (Please read FAQs)

Did he really, though? I remember him saying they had a lot of songs and no time to play them all, but that they'd play as many songs as they could. Pretty standard for Dave.

I think that was when...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK (Please read FAQs)

Well, parking at Stratford was a mistake - it was almost 1am by the time we got out of there, back home at 3am. It was a short night...

Was super fun though. We had awesome seats and were also...
