Re: Post your Foo Fighters Vinyl Collection

It says extremely limited import, so I'd guess they're just getting an unsold box of the shipped in. I think if it were a reissue, more places would have it listed.

Re: Quick question for those going to Toronto concert July 12th.

If curfew is 11pm then I'd expect them on at 8 or 8:15pm.

Re: Floaty

I'm not really sure it'd work without his girly voice. That's why he got Petra to do it in 1996, and then again on the acoustic tour in 06.

Re: Quick question for those going to Toronto concert July 12th.

They usually tweet the official stage times the morning of the show. Anywhere between 8 and 9 is pretty common.

Re: Good Grief???

The assumption is that the extended jams and drum solos are to give Dave's voice a rest throughout the show, but it's always just been an assumption. AFAIK no band member has really discussed it.

Re: Good Grief???

True, many of those songs I included purely because they have been playing them semi-regularly the last few years, so they themselves seem to see them as something that can/should work with most...

Re: Good Grief???

Indeed, we've been discussing this subject as long as I've been here, and I'm sure a bit more before that as well. I was only being semi-serious about any special tours, and I think we know the...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

Here is my recording of the Manchester radio broadcast. Had to decode this one to FLAC because when I cut up the original file it left annoying noises on each track split. So you may need to convert...

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK

I think it's highly likely that this gap in the touring is a planned work break for them, they'll be on the plane to Benidorm ASAP I reckon.

Re: Good Grief???

Yeah they haven't played Good Grief since 2000 so I would guess it's one of many songs on the pile that they don't like that much.

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK (Please read FAQs)

Totally makes sense why they try to do that at stadium events, stampedes can obviously be very dangerous, you'd just think they would've come up with a better way to do it after all these years. A...

Re: Good Grief???

Yep, whether we like it or not they play to huge stadiums and other large venues these days, which are filled to the brim with casual and first time fans, and Dave knows they want to hear the hits....

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK (Please read FAQs)

I think we should know by now, Dave can't do long breaks. They've said they will twice now, always failed.

Re: June 2018 - Manchester and London, UK (Please read FAQs)

I wouldn't be massively surprised if they're back for a festival next year, although it may be pushing a bit in terms of when the tour is wrapped up. Could just do a one off, who knows.

Are you sure they're not playing 'Caravan of Love' over the PA?

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

It sucks for the genuine fans but in some ways the people in bands prefer to sign for the pros in a lot of these situations. The reason being, they know a lot of their faces, especially in places...

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

It's just a bog standard TV show so yeah, very strange to just bust that one out and not something from the current album. Maybe the full show will give some context though.

Re: Foo Fighters to perform on James Corden Late Late Show UK

ApplauseStore said 1pm but evidently it's starting later. FF have seemingly just arrived, so I'd say anytime in the next 30 minutes.
