You could always just look for the songs on google.

Ironically the Touch soundtrack is also credited to "Late!" if I recall correctly.

I don't think that's ironic. Sorry to be so anal, but I believe "incidentally" might have worked better there

No I meant ironically because the thread started out talking about Pocketwatch and then Touch came up later.

Ironic means the exact opposite of what is expected. I blame Alanis Morrisette for the confusion.

Spotted this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Late-Dave...item3a6d348868 on eBay. The most obvious bootleg ever?

Ha yes, but why on earth are people bidding on it. So many funny false statements on there though.

Until now, you could only hear the demo if you had the original or if you went to YouTube.
Yeah sure, it's not like it's freely available all over the internet with a quick google.

This is the first time anyone has sold a version of this rare demo!
Well it might be the first time someone has sold a burnt CD-R.

Your CD player must be CD-R compatible.
Ok....

THIS MUSIC IS NOT ON RECORDABLE MEDIA!
Wait, what? My CD player needs to be able to play CD-R but this isn't on recordable media, even though I can clearly see it is in the picture?

A handling fee of $1.50 will be added to your invoice.
Wonderful. What is that for, you going to the trouble of burning a CD-R and printing the art?

I filed a report with ebay anyway, hopefully it gets taken down and nobody wastes their money.

this would be cool for a record store day release... $300 is crazy for a cassette, but i guess its quite rare.. anyone know how much were made?

I think Dave should pick out some underground bands and have a different band cover each song and release that.

I could only see it done for maybe Record Store Day or a massive box set decades from now.

Has this topic been discussed before? heh-heh.. I believe it has! Anywho, like I may have posted before, I don't see it ever being re-released in full. If anything a couple or a few songs would be included in a future FF box set maybe.. If Dave were cool with that.

I think because it had such a limited release and Dave only gave it to friends, it was more a pet project than a full blown albumin Dave's mind. He did it for himself mostly and his closest friends just for fun. As much as people love it, I get from most of you that have heard it a lot that the FF debut is stronger. S/T to me feels stronger in comparison. When Kurt took his life, the Nirvana train screeched to a halt. This gave Dave as much time as he wanted and needed to take recording S/T. Although he whipped it out in record time, it feels like he put more effort into it and the songs are better. Maybe he gave it more love and energy because he felt it deserved it, and Pocketwatch was more spontaneous. He had Pocketwatch to draw and learn from in addition to both Nirvana albums he recorded with name producers in big studios. Scream and earlier was always low budget indie DIY and with Pocketwatch he was still a home recording novice.
