It's not anybody's fault of course but I bet some member of the stage crew feeling really bad right now.
I deal with wires all over the place in work I do...
It's difficult to maintain clear paths...you have to have a person or two, ( depending how big area and how much traffic), dedicated to being sort of a navigational lookout at all times constantly checking paths are clear so no member of team gets hurt!

Last weekend I saw a trippy example of cover bands. Picture this: the main act was Uke-Hunt which is fronted by Spike Slawson of the Gimmes, you know, where everything's a cover. Uke-Hunt, BTW, is a cover band, too. Anyway, opening for Uke-Hunt was a Gimmes cover band which was odd since the one guy was impersonating Spike who was right there (oh, and they sucked). Cover band doing covers of the cover band with the cover band frontman right there.

#1. I call bullshit.

#2. He may not have medical clearance to fly yet (risk of blood blots, swelling etc.) or he's just taking a well-earned break. Either way. So?

#3. Ross Halfin took a photo of D in his wheelchair so I hardly call that "back on his feet".

Have you ever tried to fly with seriously limb injuries like that? It'll hurt like no other bugger. There's no point in rushing him.

I think it would have been more newsworthy had Prince Harry taken Dave to lunch at Subway.

Thought this thread was going to be speculation about what he had for lunch or you telling us what he had for lunch.

There have been times I've tried to convince my band to cover a song in the style of The Gimmes and was always shot down. Because its a dumb idea.
What was the band called?

Wait for it... Gimme 5. It wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't suck. Uke-Hunt was awesome. Spike hadn't been home since "that" time the Gimmes got booed out of PNC Park. I hope that he had a great experience!!

Steve Soto gave Spike a shoutout on Saturday night as one of his favorite humans. *warm fuzzy*

From the one article that seems to exist of them online - apparently Caper gave them him blessing? haha idiot.
Spike and his wife are also some of my favourite humans.
