I know this has come up a few times before, but would anyone really care that strongly about it now? If Brian May and Roger Taylor can tour with Adam Lambert, surely it's ok for the guys to randomly drop a Nirvana song in there once in a blue moon? It all seems a bit precious to me - and a waste of great songs.

Different thoughts for different people isn't it really. May and Taylor toured with other people, John Deacon refused to have anything to do with it, so even within the same band there's a difference of opinion. It's no surprise if Dave feels differently about it.

I don't know about who would care but Nirvana was Kurt, he was the frontman, he was the singer. I cannot see Dave ever wanting to take that place live.

With Queen it's a little different because first of all Freddie told them to carry on and do what they like with his music after he'd gone and they weren't in another band, so they came up with the Queen + idea, making it clear nobody was ever replacing Fred.

I get why Dave has never done it but I wouldn't really have a problem with it after all this time if it was a song Dave didn't really have anything to do with. Something off Bleach or Incesticide that he didn't play on or they didn't do much live when he was in the band.

Love Buzz would be fun. That's kind of neutral territory.

Yep - brilliant night all round! Was great to get White Limo too, and I loved the spaced-out extended version of Outside with all the dry ice! My favourite song from Sonic Highways.

Seems like the crowd got TWO nerd songs yesterday - both Aurora and A+ET are listed on setlist.fm.

I'd like it as an opener like they did in 2008 at some Shows.

They played it at the 2008 show and the 2011 show we went to but not at either this time

We got Wind Up and Alone+Easy Target this time which was awesome, but no Hey JP. Maybe next time.

I was at the Gorge show this past Saturday and it was a pretty awesome set! There was a kid near the front of the stage, a few feet away from me, that was wearing a home made tshirt with Alone + Easy Target on it.

If I remember right, they only played one full length cover and the mtv theme song thing was a part of the band intro part.

The only critique I have of the set is when it felt like they literally stopped the show to do the band intros. To me it really felt like the momentum that the work so hard to build, just dies.

Overall, such an amazing show. I was about three people back from the front of the cat walk and I had never been so close to Dave. It gave me chills.

Also it seems like the band is playing with such great vigor. Pat seemed like he was having the best time of his life, and that is saying something.
Thanks to the great show, boys!
