I don't dislike it, it's just not a standout for me. It's not what I was expecting, but it's not bad.

And I do love Floyd.

by this time since release day back when WL came out I was still listening to it without really getting sick of it, I loved C&G but it's been a few days since I gave it a spin and I don't find myself in an urge to anymore, been listening to other stuff. still a much better album than SH but I was hoping it'd hold me much more than it did.

for my surprise TSIAN is the one the grew on me the most, I liked it the least from the live performances, the studio version is so much stronger. liked Dirty Water and Sunday Rain a lot but been getting kinda tired from them and I flat out skip Happy Ever After and Concrete and Gold.

maybe if St. Cecilia didn't happen and its title track along with Neverending Sigh replaced HEA and C&G could make it a stronger album but that's just me.

The Line
Dirty Water
Arrows
T-shirt
Sunday Rain
TSIAN
Make it Right
Run
Happy Ever After
Hidden "Fuck you Darryl" track
Silences between songs
La Dee Da
Concrete and Gold

The Line's a fucking foo instant classic to me.
Someone here above mentioned a similarity with "Normal" and the $1MDD, I caught the same vibe. The style of the song is great.

I love C&G (the song) but the mix buries the vocals. I actually used my recording software to "fix" that ... haha, much more enjoyable.

I also did the same to La Dee Da ... I wanted a more "traditional" mix that didn't have the overbearing echo at the end of phrases.

I'm a nerd, hehe.

Really like :

Run
C&G
Dirty Water

Happy with :

The Line
Arrows

Boring :

TSIAN
Happy ever After

Skip :

La Dee Da (was surprised, liked it live but the album version just doesnt cut it for me)
Make it Right (the 70s KISS vibe is just too much)
T-Shirt (a decent riff in the end, the rest.. well, they've done better)
Sunday Rain (Wings is cool and all but I've had enough of that vibe from the FF)

Going on the long A list (but not the shorter A* I think)
Dirty Water
Happy Ever After
T-shirt
The Line

B:
Sunday Rain (love T's voice, just a bit too long)
Make it Right
Arrows
Run

C:
TSIAN
La Dee Da

D:
C&G (as I've already said this made me think of Fade Away & Radiate by Blondie. Difference is I'd like to hear FA&R again).

I feel like I"m the odd man out with Dirty Water. I really don't get it. It's like I'm missing something.

I think you may be

I seriously love Dirty Water. I'll have to give it a bit of time to sink in and see if it makes my all-star team of absolute best songs, but right now I can't stop listening to it.

Watching everyone else's ranking, the ones I find interesting are La Dee Da and Make It Right. Really divisive.

(I think La Dee Da is awesome, and now that I know there's a version with a sax solo out there, I need it in my life)

I was largely indifferent to the album, but have kept coming back to it and now love it. I think I was initially excited for an album of Runs.

It feels like an album that is stronger as a whole than as a collection of singles, which is quite remarkable for Foos. Not since TINLTL have I enjoyed an album of theirs as much in full (Wasting Light got close but I didn't enjoy the lull of Miss The Misery, Matter of Time or Back and Forth).

It's so eclectic in style and tone. It's a really interesting album, even if the songs individually aren't their best. Every song plays wonderfully off of the back of the next in really interesting ways. It's like a patchwork quilt of rock sub genres.

Thumbs up from me.

It's a charming song, but I don't understand why practically everyone is creaming over it.

I think 'The Line' is the strongest song on this album.

Concrete & Gold, the song, I am digging it!

Sunday Rain, previously I said Cold Day was better, I may change that now. I love the build up toward the end.

It's definitely the most 'Foo Fighters' song on the record. I hear it and think it could've been on any release from TCATS onwards.

Love

T-shirt: simply love this.
Run: i think one of my favourite FF songs. And it's amazing live
The line: it grabbed me, that loose feeling..! The only thing, others have mentioned it, the vocals at the chorus.. but it's not a big deal.
La Dee Da: awesome song
The memory of waiting to hear if there's a hidden track and.. Fuck you Darrell!

Really Like

TSIAN: a very good choice for a single and a video after all! That little part
before 'Oh my dear..'

Like

Dirty water: that riff!
C&G: it's good as the last song of the record. I like a lot what Stockman did with the song.
Happy ever after: sweet melody
Arrows: it's an ok song but i like how it builds up

?

Sunday Rain: it was my initial reaction and i still believe it sounds much better live. It feels more Foos, it's more powerful. Taylor's vocals, Rami's part, it has more Shifty! I don't enjoy as much the studio version but it was one of my favourite moments when i saw them.
Make it right: at first, i loved the first half of it and then something just didn't work for me. Maybe i could do without the many layers and vocals on this one or wanted something different, i don't know. Now i like it more

It's not an opinion. That's a fact.
Solid single material, shame that they threw it out there so informally and without a video.
