He'd be the hardest one to find I reckon, without his beard he has quite a unique face.

A pre-death Heath Ledger would have been a good KC, but there'd have been massive expectation because of his pretty big reputation.

Doubt it. People only thought of him because of Curt Wild in Velvet Goldmine.

They'll probably find some fresh, new unkowns. They usually do for these kind of things.

Yes,but unfortunately Heath died...
suicided,as did Kurt.
He would have been another good choice.

Alanis would be the perfect choice for playing Dave, maybe the best one,I don't see anyone else at all...and she's been suggested by Dave!!!
Dave would love to be represented by Alanis.

Heath didn't commit suicide.

I think I saw this on TMZ.com.

I first heard the fake news from the radio (http://blogs.1077theend.com/aharms/2...y-kurt-cobain/) , thank goodness it isn't true.

I think Joe Anderson would be great, but I never saw the resemblance between Kurt and Ewen McGregor before. I think he would be great as well.

Sorry, this would have been a duplicate post? I'm not sure how to delete them.

I vote that they not make the movie at all.

I agree.. The money made is just gonna fuel Courtney Loves lifestyle and potentially Holes next album.. The movie seems to be a Courtney Love project, in Daves Milk & Bookies interview he said he hadnt heard directly about it. Love just seems to be yet again, exploiting the life of Kurt to make money.. after reading the Kurt Cobain Journals, I had to admit the stuff written was pretty powerful, but I felt like I had read something I shouldnt have.. Like I was intruding on somebody. Kurt didnt write down all that stuff for Courtney to publish and let the world see (and fuel her lifestyle) he penned it down because it meant something to him..

The movie would just be another intrusion.. one intrusion too many.. I know a lot of us dont like Courtney Love but Im not trying to base my opinion on that..
I believe she did love him to begin with as Kurt loved her, but she tried to turn him against Dave and Krist, and then after his death as the years went on, she realised she could make money out of him (Kurt)

People shouldnt need to see a movie of Kurts life to see what he went through and what he was feeling.. His voice, lyrics, and music should be enough to express what he was going through.

Did Kurt not mention in his suicide note that entertaining began to feel like a chore to him.. that he didnt enjoy it the way Freddie Mercury did and that that upset him.. he didnt want people watching his every move, trying to please them behind a false enthusiastic exterior.

This movie wouldnt be fair to Kurt's memory...

"Its better to burn out than to fade away. Peace, Love, Empathy."

Just my opinions..

I totally agree.. if it can't be stopped at least it could be decent and not totally exploitive. And I'd rather see unknowns playing the guys than famous actors. I thought the movie Backbeat on the Beatles was great because I could totally get into the actors as the real band members. But it is a shame because I too believe Kurt wouldn't want a movie about him. It would be too intense to watch too in some scenes too. Like was posted by you guys, we all know what happened and how raw and intense it must have been, especially for Krist and Courtney and even Dave who maybe had distanced himself a bit from the drama in the final days, but I don't know if I want to see it all acted out onscreen. Plus his death was was sixteen years ago, yet it still seems like yesterday in a way.. I'd rather focus on all the good stuff about Kurt, then dredge up all the drug drama and depression. Plus there's more than enough music, dvds, the box set, and books to truly enjoy Kurt and Nirvana. Also the right interviewer could get some funny and touching stores out of Dave and Krist in the future..

Plus: the Hollywood side of it will totally ruin it. I was watching a DVD of Nirvana last week where Krist films some stuff with his camera and I mean, that was real, you know.
