Eek! Back & Forth Tickets are too Expensive

I was thinking of going into Manhattan to see Back & Forth documentary but the tickets are $25! Are these concert at a movie theater type showings usually this expensive? I expected it to be the normal $12 3-D price.

See it on VH1 for free then on the 8th. Pretty simple. At least you have it playing in your community. I don't.

true that. same here.

I think it's totally worth the price. that's a movie AND a live performance on a huge screen with great sound.

If you expect a normal 3D experience from the Foos, you're expectations are fairly low. You don't get an opportunity to see this release at any other opportunity than this one (the live 3d performance that is). You're seriously whining over $10-15 more?

Seriously?

I do and I'm on bed rest. I'd give a pretty penny to be in Hollywood with my friends. And this person is whining over $15 more to see a one time performance?

Sigh. Just sigh.

same, nothing here in Puerto Rico, i would gladly pay the $25, it's going to be the closest thing to see them play live in PR but that will never happen :/

BTW, is the VH1 thing going to have the concert after?

I don't think so...I haven't heard to tell you the truth and VH1 isn't advertising it that much that I can tell. It's just another Rock Doc.

exactly, 25 bucks once in a lifetime won't take the food out of your table and will provide an unforgetable experince.

one that not everyone is being able to be a part of mind you.

Geez...didn't expect to get that heavily flamed. I'll wait for VH1 or the DVD. Nothing is worth seeing at a movie theater for $25.

depends on what you consider worth seeing for that price. if this awesome movie+show isn't worth for you, fair enough, just don't expect everyone on a FF postboard to agree with you.

I initally thought it was expensive until I actually thought about what I was getting:

1.)One night only theatre showing of the documentary on HUGE screen.
2.)A concert in 3D with a movie theatre sound system that will be LOUD.
3.)A chance to be in a room with a bunch of other people who really like/love the band and will be rockin out!

All in all I think it's a fucking bargain!

I agree that it's to high for the casual fan. Can't they lower the prices and sell more popcorn? And at least you have it playing near you.

IMO, if you post here, you wouldn't think $25 was too much...Hell, I'm spending the money and driving over an hour to catch it and think it'll be worth every penny....and then some!

It's worth it. When will you get to see the foos in 3d?

You don't get that on VH1. And I wouldn't be suprised if the broadcast version is shorter due to commercials and/or all the swearing will be edited out. This is Dave we're talking about here.....that's a lot of beeps.

I'm also driving about an hour and i paid $20 plus a 1 dollar service fee to see it in Fairfax, Va.

Does the VH1 thing even include the live performance? I didn't realize that.

And I'm sure a LOT of us here would (ok, and have) pay any amount when it comes to foo with no complaints

Yea I'm going over an hour for the experience. I just had to halt myself from listening to the album stream. I'd rather watch/hear it in 3D first.
