Default Long Road To Ruin, acoustic?

Great setlist from yesterday's (first of the tour) show.
I wonder how Long Road To Ruin sounded...

PD: Is it true? was it just Dave and an acoustic guitar? how was it?

woot! miss the misery!
5 songs from the new album, almost half of it. from their 3 or 4 news songs per setlist history, this is good news, and the ones I wanted the most to be included on setlists are there, I'm really glad.

and yeah, I'm curious about that LRTR acoustic as well, might be interesting...

edit: not 5, but 6, even better!

I could SO get behind this setlist when I see them.

Would be rad if he did a different solo acoustic cover every night

actually it's kind of painful to listen to. He's slightly out of pitch and getting worse as it goes on. Poor guy must be wrecked after a huge rock set.

Yeah, his voice is voice isn't that great. I also was expecting his rythm guitar during the solo, played with a lot of energy know what I'm saying? He skipped that part and went straight to the 3rd chorus, bummer.

It was nice to hear a new version of it though.

His guitar was slightly out of tune more noticible in the end, and his voice was okay, he really strained thru it because by then he had belted out like 22 songs in a couple of hours, but most fans wouldn't be able to tell. I was so proud of him to do it anyway knowing he would have another date the next night. The best was his energy was so evident and love for the fans in the back shitty seats like me.

It's not bad or anything but I really wish Dave would realize Best Of You is horrible acoustic.

That's really weird, last night my friend started playing an acoustic version of Long Road and we all spontaneously sang along and I was thinking how it would be cool if they did that, but not sure about it being a tour regular..

Not happy acoustic Best Of You is back, why scream it in the acoustic version? Might aswell just do the normal electric version if you're not going to add anything to it vocally, like chilling the vocals out.

I hope that they play Tie Your Mother Down at MK Bowl, I would LOVE to see that! Taylor sings it amazingly.

Fuck you, Best of You is a good song!

I love Long Road to Ruin. I almost don't want to click that link....

True story though, the first time I heard Overdrive and liked it was acoustic. Never sounded better.

And the solo acoustic thing is pretty lame if you ask me. No reason they couldn't have done those three songs as a full band.
He does the solo acoustic stuff so the band can take a breather. Yes, they could but you are missing the point. It slows shit down for Dave and lets the guys rest.

E-Fuckin-zactly. I'm amazed at people not liking Best Of You. I'd guess most of them grew up in the 90's and don't know shit from shinola when it comes to music.

Thumbs up Re: Long Road To Ruin, acoustic?

I've always prefered acoustic Best Of You to the album version...somehow makes it more emotional for a live show. And I really enjoy LRTR that way too.
