Yeah let genuine fans have a chance in the pre sale and general sale..
Then when tickets have slowed then give tickets away ..not before the tickets are released...

I agree with you both. The Goat Island gig earlier this year was kinda the same. I tried so freakin hard to win tickets to that I couldn't. Then the Manning Bar gig came up and I was 1.5 hours away and had no hope of getting to Sydney in time to get a wristband for that. I think people who ring up just so they can win something are lame. I'd never do that. I'm considerate.

Also, if you listen to Triple M online it tells you the next song coming up so you can kinda get in early that way. I just missed 'Walk' when I was rebooting but I'm on deck now until I get really sick of MMM.

Which means hundreds of people are already calling in before you even here the start of the song.

I've well and truly given up.

Doesn't mean you're not going to be that lucky person that gets through.

I find the computer podcast is a fair bit slower then the actualy radio, so if you wait until you hear it on the computer then the song will have well and truly started. I am not even trying now,l have never won a thing in my life hehe. l am more then happy to buy tickets ( just have my fingers crossed l dont miss out lol)

I'm weighing up the cost of the tickets and the cost of my sanity. Most of what they're playing today is ok but I really dislike listening to the radio very strongly. I'd love to win just for the thrill of winning but I really can't be arsed sitting here all day waiting for FF songs to get played. It's about 1 per hour, I think. I'm bored already. lol

What i hate about radio comps is not everyone works in an environment where you can have a radio available!
I understand put your name on the website and well call you and ask a question or put you in the draw, thats reasonable, but being the 5th caller or whatever is bit hard with certain jobs!
Presale it is for me, and i know it will be refresh refresh refresh button, day of tickets onsale is a stressful experience, i cant wait to just have the tickets in my hands! Bring on 8th Dec!

Yeah I agree 100% with you there. I'm already stressed and it's 3 more days until it happens. I hate the worry of not knowing if the Ticketek/Ticketmaster website will be able to handle the traffic, if my internet will decide to drop out at the exact time I try to purchase, etc. I'm tempted to have someone wait at a ticket office for me just in case shit hits the fan here. If I miss out you'll be able to hear me throughout the country, swearing, crying and generally being a PITA. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Hey, I'm in the gong too (2518). If you don't have anyone trustworthy to get you a ticket let me know and I will (try to) get you one. I'm not working or anything at the moment so I'll be in front of my computer all day waiting for presale to happen.

Have you seen seating maps anywhere? I think I'm going GA but it depends on how close the seating is too.

BTW, the people winning tickets on MMM seem to be genuine fans so that's nice at least.

It still only shows the Metricon map without the actual concert seating, but it does show a section of seating for gold and silver ticket holders.
