Default Live Lounge - September 1st live from LA

Reading reports (could be rumor) that they'll do another Live Lounge session during their return trip to London

Well, in September Radio 1 turns 50, and as part of the celebrations Foo Fighters will make another Live Lounge appearance. It's customary in the Live Lounge to perform a contemporary cover, but this time the band can choose to cover any song from the past 50 years. I think getting free reign to cover any pop song in the Live Lounge could be the day Dave realises his dream.

Wondering if that Jools Holland gig gets announced next, similar celebration of something they've been part of loads of times.

Interesting, I assumed it would be a day or two before/after the o2 show, seemed logical, wonder what else they've got scheduled around then instead.

Were you hoping to have got into the R1 studio or something if they had?

Bieber kicked off Live Lounge Month last year from his house in LA - 4 of his own songs, 2 covers & a video tour of his house and stuff. The rest of the artists over the month had (on the whole) normal Live Lounges (1/2 songs & a cover).

Foo Fighters being the "headliner" and kicking this off from their own studio means more content, it's not to say they couldn't have fit it in around the o2 show, just if they'd played later in the month it probably wouldn't have been as big an event.

Is that a response to the first part of my post or the second? Small/secret shows are always a possibility, they're surely going to be doing more to promote the album whilst they're over here, at least more promo interviews and such.

Fair point, probably means better exposure/worldwide coverage for them to promote the album.

I'll try for tickets if something was announced around the gig in sept. Guess we will have to wait and see the odds would t be that good anyway. And at least I don't feel too bad on missing out on LA! Bit too far of a commute.

Completely unfounded, but Apple haven't announced anything about their annual music festival at the Roundhouse which is currently unbooked for most of September. Timings would be a good fit.

Baggsie a pair of tickets for 1st shout if I'm right :-)
