Default Non-Album Tracks

So I've started this little project of compiling b-sides, soundtrack, bonus tracks, greatest hits tracks to some playlists. Basically anything that does not appear on the six FF studio albums.

First question, please tell me if I am missing something? Next, I am trying to find out what other tracks are out there that we think have been recorded but, never released. From looking at other threads, I am amare of Mountain of You (View), I'm Alone Again, and Butterflies. What else do we know of? Here are the playlists I created already. I'm really only interested in studio recordings of original material, not covers, live, or different versions of songs. Thanks for any help.

Point of No Return Vol.1

Walking A Line
Spill
Wheels
Once and For All
The Sign
Dear Lover
FFL
Podunk
If Ever
Fraternity
Marigold
World

Point of No Return Vol.2

The Color & the Shape
Bangin'
Winnebago
Normal
A320
Word Forward
How Do You Do (I know this isn't technically Foo)
Skin & Bones
The One
Make A Bet (I chose this version over Win or Lose)
Seda
How I Miss You

If you're eliminating Covers/Live songs...I'm pretty sure you got the list nailed down.

Dave had a couple of wordless instrumentals (one sounds sort of like an up-tempo Exhausted) that were recorded at the same time as Mountain of You, as well good ol' Pocketwatch, of course.

EDIT: also, Damn You, Damn Everyone (only played live, but not a cover)

Are you saying Butterflies wasn't released? I thought it was released as a b-side, was it not? I know there are atleast two very good recordings of this song. One may be a live acoustic, can't remember.

Butterflies has never been officially released, no. There was the version Dave did at the S/T session, the one done at the X-Files session and the version Dave did solo acoustically on Rockline plus several live versions all circulating though.

Yeah but that wasn't officially released, just those 100 tapes he gave to friends. That is where the circulating copies of that version come from though, or another demo tape. I forget. All I know is I have a great sounding copy from a cassette, not that horrible noise reduced version from 'The Demo Tapes' bootleg CD.

Ah yeah thats right this cassette was only a demo sort of... I had a great copy of Butterflies but that computer had a meltdown so everything is lost. The Demo bootleg cd version is really really horrible sounding I agree...

I still want this cassette! That would really make my day

Yeah getting one of those 100 cassettes would be amazing, rarer than Pocketwatch.

Here is the best version of Butterflies from the S/T session:
http://www.mediafire.com/?mp3fd36bc3tq7v6

Bit of hiss at the start during the quiet part but overall it's a million times better than the demo tapes version, no warbly noise reduction.

You mean Goodbye Lament, and it's not a Foo Fighters song. That stupid kid on youtube mislabelled tons of Dave Grohl solo tracks/projects as Foo Fighters songs which only confuses people.

Goodbye Lament was Dave Grohl and Tony Iommi (of Black Sabbath fame), and it featured on his album, Iommi. Well worth a buy, I might add, lots of other guest musicians on there.

No need to apologise, I'm sure a lot of people will have the same misconception because of those videos on youtube.

Iron and Stone is indeed a Foo Fighters song, it's a cover of The Obsessed though which I don't think the OP wanted. Great song though.

Check this thread I created for more information on FF songs and their origins:

Good shout on Make A Bet over Win or Lose, that song sounds horrifically slick and they ruined it by accentuating the guitar lead over the cool bass line. Cool project idea. I may have to copy this and make a playlist on my music player when it's done.

No problem, and your English is fine, perfectly understandable and certainly better than my French. You'll be able to add an avatar when you've made a few more posts, about 10/15 I think.
