Default just devastated

I have lithograph #256, I brought it to a framing company (not a mom and pop place) that decided to spray it with some chemical to try and remove the fingerprints of the band. Sadly the chemical apparently damaged the print. I don't even know what to do, I'm crushed. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

They should buy you a new one or reimburse you for the price of it if you can't get another one. Yes it sucks because you won't be able to get a low number but they should fix their error. At worst, find a really expensive one on eBay and have them pay for it.

That really sucks. Why would they do that without discussing it with you?! If the band's fingerprints were on it, I'd want them to stay there.

I wonder why they didn't ask you if the fingerprints were to stay or be taken off. I got asked a ton of questions when I went and got a poster framed a couple years back.

Pat Smear is actually an android. During one memorable show in England he short circuited, electrocuting Dave whose hair then caught fire

Chris: "You guys, I couldn't hear myself out there."
Dave: "We all heard ya, man."
Taylor: "Yeah, we heard you just fine."
Chris: "Oh. Well, ok..."

Definitely ask for compensation. Their thoughtlessness shouldn't be your loss! So sorry to hear

I'm so sorry this happened. I really appreciate you posting it though as now I know I will do my own matting and framing.

Have them replace it. Have them purchase one online and tell them they can keep or resell everything else and that you get the litho. Thats awful, Im sorry.

Wow Joe I am really sorry to hear about that. I'm getting mine framed now and it makes me a little nervous. You should be able to receive compensation from their "negligence" though. They probably thought it was a poster instead of a lithograph and used a chemical that was not safe for that type of printing. Did you sign any agreement and if so was there any clause about damage to the piece?

Looks great. I am having both the Wasting Light poster and the Documentary poster signed by James Moll framed and have not gotten them back yet either .

Hehe, well, for all you know behind those two LP's could be a bunch of total shit. But, I don't consider it that way, so thanks. I wanted to put a couple FF albums up front for the pic.
