Default Sonic Highways - ep 7 Seattle

Looking forward to this the most. Judging by the trailer, there seems to include some unreleased Nirvana footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHnY...WaTgSsoNkn5AiQ

I'm more interested in he and Barrett looking over their old demos. Hoping they play clips of those, and give us some more details on them. Already in the trailer he holds a reel of January 1992, a specific date we don't have a session known currently.

Here is hoping that him going back and listening to them with Barrett made him think about doing something with them. If they're featuring in the doc that is a start I guess. Still hopeful on that S/T deluxe with a bunch of them on it.....

Me too, although it does seem to me that Dave doesnt want to re do anything from the first album.Would love a hardback book chronicling the last 20 years.

Yeah a re-recording has been dismissed but no reason they can't do a 20th anniversary version of S/T just as they did a 10th anniversary CD of TCATS.

I know Dave said he'd rather celebrate the whole 20 years next year which is fair enough but I don't think you can ignore marking the records themselves, like Nirvana recently did with their main two, both got a big re-release.

I think it would be a shame not to mark S/T with a re-release of some sort, even if it's not a super duper box set. A 2CD version full of demos and live tracks on Disc 2 would be nice.

Not showing up on the tv planner for this weekend for BBC4, so I assume it's still on iPlayer for this week.

I wasn't sure if they were back to back, or just back on the tv. That would mean it's not back til next week then?

Dave cringes as Barrett plays the demos back so I can't see him wanting to rush release them!

Have you seen the episode already? I didn't see a cringe in the trailer.

In the trailer there isn't any unreleased Nirvana footage, that has all been released... but it would be cool if the episode would contain some unreleased footage

Probably Dave solo related but I don't think I've seen that video of Dave sat with the acoustic before, at 0:23.

Anyway the Chicago episode featured those new HSB video outtakes so I think chances are high there will be something new in this one.

True, that's the only footage I have never seen before, I figured it was Dave solo or maybe even early Foo Fighters era. But yeah, perhaps it was during the Nirvana period

I was thinking it was probably around the back at Robert Lang, during S/T session. Could be anywhere though really I guess.

I'm gonna get burned for this but I really hope it's not a Nirvanafest.
I'm hoping for some Nate time, and possibly Will (wishful thinking).

I'm with you, Beto. More Nate and Chris would be great in general.

So glad we got to hear some parts of these tapes. Would love to see some sort of release as well. The credits were a fun bonus, haha!
