![]() Enough Space was the song that started my love affair with this band. It continues to be my favorite song, although Bridge Burning is right there at 1B. I play Bridge Burning every morning in the car right before I get to work, just to pump myself up for the day.

![]() This is a call. When I went off to Uni, it was 2 years after I was lucky enough to see nirvana in sydney. Every single morning Black Hole Sun was played on triple J at 6am (when my alarm was set). It was a fucking awesome time for music. Then it was shit because Kurt died. The next year I discovered this is a call and was de-lighted again. I bought the album and have loved the foos since.

![]() Hey guys, I'm new here and this is my first post! From London, recently went to the Foo Fighters Arms (the pub taken over for C&G), fan since their inception, and I play guitar and learn their songs.
Anyway, Hey Johnny Park got me hooked on FF. Amazing riff, great melody and that drum intro is just one of my faves of all time. Loving the new album!! |

![]() Stacked Actors!
TINLTL was the first Foo album I bought off of the back of discovering a love for Nirvana, still one of my absolute favorites. Looking back I had probably come across other tracks but not taken much notice, pretty sure Learn to Fly was everywhere when it was released but I was more into RHCP and Incubus at the time!

![]() Same Beckiii, TINLTL was my first and I wore that sucker out and had to get another copy. Generator, Gimme stitches - really the whole album is one epic ride - this is the album I fell in love with Dave Grohl and I haven't lost one ounce of love and respect for the guy after all these years. Genius.

Well, to be honest (in my option) the whole album is flawless, not a clanger on it anywhere. ...can you tell which album is my favourite ![]()

![]() I had been a casual listener, but back in the day "Breakout" got me to buy TINLTL, and "Headwires" sealed the deal. That song is like xanax for me.

![]() For me it was “This is a call”.
I saw them in 1996 at Torhout/Werchter in Belgium when I was 17yo. They came out with “Enough Space” which is one of the most Nirvana like songs I thought. Then it took until 2012 for me to catch them again in Belgium at Pukkelpop. Saw them in Feb 2015 in Sydney and had tickets for Rock Werchter in Belgium in July 2015 but they were replaced by Faith No More because of Dave Grohl’s broken leg. Just saw them again in Sydney a couple of weeks ago... For my son who is now 11 it was “These days” whe he was about 5 he really loved that song. Can’t wait to go to the FF together with him. The below is a video from 2011 when he rocks out on the song after about 50 seconds in the clip. https://www.facebook.com/jordy.beeck...2625911772358/ |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbpqZT_56Ns I'm a fan of the guitar solo. I played it on at least 8 different guitars (mine + friends') including a Les Paul Custom, a PRS, a Fender tele, and even a short-scale guitar. |

![]() The first time I heard Walk live that was it. That and These Days take me down every time live. Taylor's Queen solo in Iceland was kick ass (Dave's sweet daughter on the drums). But damn I'm dying for them to bring back DOA at a concert. The best part about them, every concert and album is amazing and real in it's own way, and they always give it everything. No BS..

The weird thing is that it's not even in my top 20 Foo songs anymore. (More a reflection of how much I love the rest of the catalogue tbf.) It's like the rest of Wasting Light, I like it but I won't necessarily go and play it for myself. But there's something about these songs when they're being played live - they kick so much ass. |
