Iím happy you enjoyed it! The people Iím traveling with did too. Tonight is show #40 for me so maybe Iíll take a break after this and see how I feel next tour. Next up for me is Pearl Jam in Seattle & Wrigley and Iím completely excited about those.

Or, let Shifty and Taylor sing their songs instead of covers. I'd love to hear "Still Better Days" with this band!
Utilize those great backing vocalists.
I think they are super bored with this music. I was checking the set list of the very first show I ever went to in August of 2005. 10 of the same hits played at that show.

I don't get the whole jam thing where Dave plays his guitar like it's talking...he did that in Lexington and in Indy and everywhere in between I'm sure. I love guitar playing, but I would rather see Eddie Van Halen playing guitar than Dave, sorry. Dave's good, but I like his songs much better.

And drum solos...while Taylor is good, it's like stepping back in time. I'm wondering if on the next tour Nate gets a bass solo?

Their energy was good and we got into it, just wish they actually played more songs.
I told my husband last night, there's just a little too much Animal from the Muppet Show going on with him. He's going too fast and they are bored. I noticed it in Champagne and Wisconsin. In Champagn e he did the AC/DC cover, which was great, it was the ONLY song he seemed to really enjoy playing. But those two shows were different than Indy and Wrigley. He's different.

I agree. I still don't regret going, I just want the band back. The one that is having fun and it's contagious. Too fast.

This. Sunday's Wrigley show was great, but they could have cut the super long extensions and added a few older songs. I get that they probably want to mix it up to make it more interesting for themselves, but I think they lose people when they do it. And throwing in a true "old school" song like "Generator" or "For All the Cows" would have been amazing. How awesome would "Aurora" have been on such a beautiful evening as it was that night? That being said, Dave is a great front man and the band was great.

Ok so... I'm just gonna say that the show in Richmond last Fall was AMAZING one of the best setlists I've seen them do live in a long time. (ENOUGH SPACE, Let it Die, Arlandria (one of my faves). They really switched it up. I was really happy and told them so

I also recently saw them at the Anthem gigs and then in Maryland, NJ (super fun), and then NYC the first night and it just didnt even move me so I just couldnt bring myself to do night two. (too much work waiting in line for front row lol and $$$ for train again). WHO AM I. I cant afford to travel for foo like I used to either but def always worth it for the small club gigs.

That was my 85th FF show. I found myself in the front row and just wasn't MOVED enough to go again. it was the same show id seen the past two shows. (yes I love seeing the diff banter each night though and the little diff things but I wasnt feeling the Energy that night...) so every night is a little different in its own way.

and then i missed THE TIGER PANTS.

waah.

But seriously, it's always been this way the same setlist. It does get some of the hardcore fans panties in a twist that they don't change it up. including me. but then we still love them.

Cheeky bit of 'Weenie Beenie' last night. And 'Molly's Lips'.

Considering Dave lost his voice halfway through the show, I couldn't believe he kicked off the encore with Weenie Beenie. Mind blown.

The poor souls in Portland almost got half a setlist of covers last night. This has probably been my least favorite tour. Really miss the energy from the Wasting Light tour.

The WL show I saw was really good, probably the best outdoor show I've seen them play. There were covers (YMB and Tie Your Mother Down) so 21/23 original material.

The SH show I saw was pretty tired, it was the Oslo show before DG broke his leg - easy to believe the accident revitalized the band as they were really not into it in Oslo. Never seen DG look at the clock on the side of the stage as often as then. Covers - Let There be Rock, Stay With Me, Under Pressure, with Stay With Me lasting way too long. Not too bad though with 18/20 originals.

The C&G show was all right, not the best I've seen but all right. Miss You and Let There be Rock, 21/23 originals.

Yesterday had 8 covers out of 21 songs, plus one snippet (Another Bites the Dust). I would have been disappointed.

Dunno though if I'd rather suffer through a 20min Skin and Bones or the covers though..

Skin & Bones allllll day haha.

SH really took it out of them. I don't think they anticipated how draining the documentary series would be. By the time they completed that and had to hit the promo and world tours, they were out of it.

Doesn't help that they probably didn't care for the final product either. By the end of that tour, you'd be lucky to even get Congregation. Compared to WL which they played beginning to end numerous times and about 8 songs for the regular shows. When they LOVE an album, they come out hard and can endure the wear and tear of touring a little better.

I'm genuinely surprised they came back for C&G so soon. If we could get another WL caliber album and tour, I'll gladly wait through a longer "rest period." And Dave needs to take a long, hard look at his voice and the future during this next break. This tour has had too many scares.

Daveís voice got really rough by the time he got to Best of You....maybe the covers were easier on his voice.

Jamming half their setlist with a Chevy Metal show signals to me that they are fed up and want to go home. I could see it towards the end of the SH tour, too, and the myriad of ways they tried to keep it interesting for themselves (all those guests). Stop doing the same god damn songs every night, sure, but then swap them out with your other songs, remember them?

I love them but they're really cheesing me off with stuff like this.

I'm really hoping they mix things up a bit for the last leg of the tour. I miss them opening with Run and the banner. Would love for them to throw at least 1 louder tune in, ie White Limo, Let It Die, Enough Space, etc. I saw all of those during shows last fall. Amazing.

they opened with 'Run' and the curtain in Billings, last December and I was so happy they played 'This is a call' and 'Dear Rosemary'. I've been only to two shows, but I've never heard them play Aurora, and it's one of my favourites. I really hope they'll go for it in Edmonton and/or Calgary.

Those being the last two shows of the tour, I'm slightly worried we may get a bit of a half ass show. They may be happy to be done, I don't know. It's been a long tour for them, I was really surprised when they announced the dates for this year. I thought for sure they were done for a few months, after NYE in Vegas.

Eh, I feel like that's normal though. I've noticed he usually struggles through Best of You at the end of the shows. It's a song you want for the end, but it's vocally demanding.
