I'm listening right now! On my first listen, Centipede sounds a LOT like Razor fused with a TCV that I can't remember right now (I don't want to pause the soundtrack to figure out which song it is).

I didn't really like Time Slowing Down and Heaven And All, but I wasn't expecting to, since I wasn't too fond on the line-ups. The album definitely gets better once you get into it; You Can't Fix This is pretty good, then it starts to get great.

So far, Centipede, Mantra, and If I Were Me...I keep rotating between them and can't stop playing them. I'm going to have to listen to the rest of the album at some point.

Given it a few listens, my favourite three so far are 'Centipede', 'Trick With No Sleeve' and 'From Can To Can't'.

Simon - you'll know - what's the best quality format that's available for download at the moment? Shall I go for crappy iTunes?

Of the whole album? It's not out yet, just streaming on the NPR website.

I hate streaming stuff because my connection at home is piss poor and keeps buffering. I can't wait for the CD to turn up so I can blast it in my car all of next week.

I've not had time to give it a proper listen yet, but I did finally get to hear Mantra, and it's just as great as I thought it would be.

Can't wait for my vinyl.

Listened to this extensively today. Favorites are "From Can To Can't", "Centipede", "A Trick With No Sleeve", and "Mantra".

Oh man, "Mantra" just might be my favorite. I can't really decide yet.

"If I Were Me" is better every time I listen to it. Rami's keyboard blends in beautifully with the song.

Oh, and "Your Wife Is Calling" really stood out from the other songs. I liked the guitar riffs in it.

Wild guess here from previous Grohlian education:
Vinyl MUST include a digital download, maybe they'll rip it straight from the vinyl er something?

Itīs a fun record IMO, part of it is really good and part of it is really bland - like all jam sessions tend to be.

A Trick With No Sleeve is probably my favourite, Mantra and The Man That Never Was are standout tracks for me aswell.

Really disappointed in Cut Me Some Slack, the lineup had me waiting for something to blow my mind, itīs one of those jams where the pieces just donīt fit for some reason.

The production however is the BEST, far better than any rock album Iīve heard in years, the record sounds absolutely awesome even streamed, canīt wait for the CD!

Really? Wow, to me this is by far the best track of the album (although i've only heard the other songs one time, so far) -- this song clearly blows my mind! Such great guitar work and an amazing build-up ... and McCartney hasn't been on a track this good since his 'wings' days.

Paul's vocals and slide guitar is pretty sweet, and Dave's drumming on the track (especially live) was great. Overall, though, it was just a hollow song for me. I still liked it.

Does the vinyl include an MP3 download or some form of digital download??

I may just get the vinyl instead of the CD. Hell, probably both.

Considering the songs this bunch of people have composed or at least been involved in this track sucks major balls. Itīs an ok jam, but really not something one should call a good song IMO.

I mean, come on, the lead vocalist is the other of the two guys who INVENTED pop music as we know it, and the rest of this collaboration made the record that has influenced the past two decades of pop music. This could have been something really special, now itīs something that any one of the recordīs other lineups could have easily done.

I agree, the McCartney-Nirvana collab had me hoping for something really great, and it turned out to be a big let down.

There's no confirmation anywhere, but it's pretty much a MUST nowadays.
