Yeah, Reading has noise restrictions. They can't go over a certain dB level and no music/noise after midnight. Or it might be 11:30 now.

I suspect I'd get a day ticket, dependent on who the other headliners are of course.

Last year it was a bit disappointing that everything shuts off after the last headliner apart from the silent disco. I'm a regular glasto goer and entertainment there goes on all night. I guess its part of the licence as its next to the town?
Camped in '14 and '16 and then had a day ticket in '15. I reckon the camping is just luck of the draw tbh, I camped in Green in 2014 which is right next to the arena and infamous for carnage...it was completely fine. Granted it was a bit noisier and had more kids but nothing bad. Very handy being so close to the stages too.

I doubt i'll camp this year due to people being busy but if the line-up is strong enough I'd probs be able to get a few together. A day ticket will be getting bought if Foos are there though, the 2012 set looked class. And yep, it is due to the fact the site is in the city the noise stops

Christ this makes me sound old, I am 23 ffs

HAAAAA I am old (ish) so am allowed to be grouchy. I also want to party all night should the mood suit

I don't know where you're based but its possible to get a late night train back to London after the headliner. Also, two years ago we managed to book a taxi back to South east London for £80 which was cheaper than a hotel room for two in Reading!

80 quid for a taxi back is decent fair play! I'm from South Wales but do have a good mate who now lives in Reading...a favour may be asked there haha. Also have somebody near London-ish...thankfully they are coming to the London Stadium in June so didn't need a hotel for that one!

I got a day ticket for 2012, stayed here - http://www.bellevuehousereading.co.uk/ and it looks like rates are still the same reasonable price for a single room, £48.

Ah cheers for that, decent price tbf. It is strange there hasn't been an announcement yet though, first one is usually back in December iirc.

Yeah it was a nice little place, I guess the price is lower than some others because it is a good 15/20 minute walk back from the festival.

Reading and Leeds have tweeted since January that news is coming soon... it's getting a bit boring now to be honest and 90% of the replies on their latest tweet are people getting annoyed.

Just god damn announce them already!

Day tickets only go on sale once the lineup is announced, because who is going to buy a day ticket without knowing the lineup that day?

They’re plugging many more announcements so we’ll see.
This is still just speculation on my part but BBC have Ed Sheeran as playing on the Saturday, but he has his own show at the Etihad in Manchester that night so it looks like he’ll open Biggest Weekend, which’d mean the Saturday still needs a headliner to close it.

6music have Beck & Manic Street Preachers on the Friday in Belfast but as yet haven’t announced anyone for the Saturday. I’d much prefer Foo Fighters do another Northern Ireland date.

The flight may well be cheaper than a train to Swansea as well!

Yeah and if they could kindly put FF and the Pixies on the same day, that'd be much appreciated
