Angry Dublin show

Hello,
I went to the Dublin show 2 weeks ago.
I booked 2 tickets since last november, spent a lot of money to flight from Switzerland to Dublin, book a hotel plus all other side-expenses.
Until now I did not know the RDS Arena, but I was outrageously shocked by the places.
I paid €273.30 for 2 tickets; One was OK, but the other one was at 1 meter in front of a huge pole with some wires. I did not saw anything of the show.
The show organiser tell me now that I should have ask for another place to the steward and refuse to consider a refund, even partial.

Sounds like something to take up with the venue - neither the band nor this forum have anything to do with it.

Why did anyone pay 273 euro for the show? Glasgow was about £70 for one which even doubled is still half the price the OP paid.

If the OP paid a tout then they are screwed. I'd rather just not go that be ripped off like that.

That seems expensive, I had the more expensive ones and they weren’t anywhere near that.

I would say the seating plan on TM website (presumably provided by the venue) wasn’t very good. It looked like I was getting really good seats near the stage, which they were but turned out to be a restricted view due to the enclosed design of the stage. Plus due to the rain I think they shifted the mics back, so for most of the show I could only see Dave (not that I’m complaining about that ) and occasionally Pat with a brief glimpse of the others.

Still, I was there, was an awesome night and I was dry....

Actually had I known it wasn’t going to fill up until much later I would have gone for pitch.

I was on the rail and could only see Dave properly! The stage was very high plus everyone sensibly stood back a bit so they didn't get drenched (sensibly). Definitely wasn't the best venue I've ever been to.

Yeah it was an odd stage, although I thought the view from barrier was ok
