Default Your ideal touring line up for Album #7

For me, i'd say the usual four, and Pat, with Pat helping Dave out on songs so he can concentrate more on singing.

Lots of people diss the extra members of the touring band, but does anyone want them to stay?

Ah yes, it would be so good if they did an acoustic tour aswell! I doubt it though, I think Dave is pretty fond of mixing and mashing :/

Big Me needs to be speeded back up, and take away the female vox!

I think Rami could stay as well. And it was me who mentioned keeping Pat on so Dave could focus more on vocals.
I think Rami could fit in the same sort of capacity as Boom Gaspar (Pearl Jam)

Yeah Big Me sort of needs to be dropped from the set completely not a massive fan of it anymore. Petra is also my lady of choice over Jesse. She has more a history with the band. (And apparently she is going to be on the next Twilight Singers album )

Yeah man, Big Me has lost it's geeky, parody of cheesy rock charm and is now just plain cheesey and awful.

If they drop the others, namely strings, they wont be able to continue playing The Pretender and Let it Die. Can you see that happening?

They could easily continue playing both. It wouldn't have the same Dynamic exactly but they could play it.

What I meant is that I get the impression they wont play the sons without the strings in because of the change in dynamic. Obviously they could continue to play both, as well as others that have strings in, without that part but I think that Dave would not want the songs performed without.

You can barely hear the Cello on the studio version, they overdo it live in my opinion. I think the song would be better simpler with less parts.

I really hope they've got the Tom Petty phase out of their system.

Dave, Taylor, Pat, Nate and Chris.

i honestly don't care who's in the band.
a little extra instruments here & there doesn't bother me at all.
and the second stage was pretty convenient for me, cause i was about a foot and a half away from the band which more or less made my LIFE
...so it all worked out terrific in my opinion.

I disagree and think you can hear the cello. But I would prefer it if they dropped the extra members and went back to the way they were pre-IYH...they seem to overdo it with the extra members!

The same could be said about Generator Live. However it works and is a fully formed song without the voice box. Let It Die will get dropped from the set as it's not a single. Pretender won't for a while as it was the most commercial single from ESPG.

Erm.. really? They won't physically be able to play those songs without overbearing strings? You can barely hear them in the studio versions, anyway. I think as long as they keep playing stadiums, they'll keep the extra members, unfortunately. But hey ho, i'll still see them if the come near! Maybe go and get some beers when they play Big Me.

I totally hear the cello in the studio version of The Pretender. It's kinda difficult to ignore.

Just the core four please.

Also, please go back to smaller arenas (maybe 10,000 tops). I would gladly pay extra for a ticket with fewer people.
