Well well,

me too! Like the whole of TNLTL, my favourite FF album.. Hearing any of the songs from the album (with the exception of StackedActors, which I never really liked) takes me back to 99.. Carefree, happy times..

No bueno stacked actors too! If you tell me your favorite song is Hey! Johnny Park and you are dying to hear Halo played live I might think you are a long lost relative. Except my favorite album is Wasting Light from a full on listening party where I don't skip even one song. TINTL is a close second.

I always have fun, even though I hear the same songs 95% of the time. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't have more fun if I heard different songs 20% of the time.

The fact that they are as big as they are means they are playing to everyone, but what better way to get the more "casual" fan into some of the deeper stuff than doing a kick ass live version?

Exactly. James Hetfield once said something like that. Basically that our fans didn't start out wanting to hear all the different stuff on our albums, we made them want it.

Even though a lot of it tends to be the same, it's always fun to see the Foos live. The crowd's energy and the energy from the guys make it seem like something brand new every time. Being able to get to the front row and experience it right up close makes it that much more special.

Why they never played Halo is beyond me. That song is one of my all time FF favourites.

No relation, though, Im not sure if HeyJP even makes my top 10.

I'm fortunate enough to have seen them 3 times this year in 3 different countries and had 3 different setlists so no complaints from me. I'd love to hear Live In Skin or New Way home etc and maybe one day I'll get lucky.

All gigs are staged to a certain extent including the banter but this band work so fucking hard for us all to be involved and enjoy the show. We should respect them because they treat us as fans with respect - can't believe anyone could come away from a Foos gig feeling ripped off or that they hadn't been entertained.

After 16 years you'd think they've earned the right to play whatever the fuck they want tbh.

i only really skimmed this thread but there are of course good points both ways. they are definatly the best concert you can go see. i think everyone is just greedy like myself. they are the best live band and put on the best show you can see in my opinion, but still can be even better.

i am glad everyone brought up the same banter, like "hey this is chris he took guitar lessons, he can read music" or however that one goes. I guess to me this just feels like there not even thinking or caring at this part of it, just put no thought into it at all and just say the same thing over and over to everyone at every show, its nothing special.

i understand playing the hits but they don't need to play all the same ones mix up a rare one in there, Low, I'll Stick Around or something like that even.

i understand the new stuff needs to be played but most "casual fans" don't even know those like white limo, these Days, arlandria, bridge burning, dear rosemary. just play like 2 or 3 of those along with the new hits, rope, walk. whats the difference if they play 5 or 6 new songs no causual fans know or 3 new ones and 2 or 3 old ones like new way home home, HJP, wattershed, enough space.

i will keep complaining, but will always keep going when i get the chance, they are my favorite band and the best live band in my opinion to see, but still it could be much better.

or maybe im just frustrated with not living anywhere sepcial to go see one of those secret shows in LA or the UK, or when they played thier longest show in Australia.

im done rambling for now

So since we are on the topic, what exactly is their typical setlist? I'm going in November and if they atleast play BreakOut and Low (or if not Low then This Is A Call) The atlanta concert will be me and my gals first foo show, very excited! =D

They usually play "Breakout" and "This Is A Call" but I don't think they've played low in a while. This website has almost all their set lists so you can just look at the recent ones.
