You´re right, the main riff is real similar to the guitar solo riff on No Way Back. I don´t remember this song mentioned as an IYH leftover though.

I listened to it through several times last night, alone in the dark with headphones, the best way to experience a new album.

My favourites are You Can't Fix This and Time Slowing Down. I actually think that The Man That Never Was is the weak link on the album but I may change my mind (as I often do) after a few more listens.

Superb piece of work though I think, beautifully crafted and the dynamics among all the guest stars and the Foos work so very well. Well worth the wait.

The weakest one for me is You Can't Fix This - the lyrics make me cringe. Did Stevie Nicks write them or was it Grohl? I also find her voice grating on me, which I don't with Fleetwood Mac stuff, I guess it's changed over time.

She wrote them about her Godson dying of an OD.

I am a fan of Fleetwood Mac though, and I love that groove that runs all the way through it. It reminds me of them, so Dave was right.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think the song sounds great, the groove and feel is excellent, it's just the vocals and lyrics spoil it (for me).

My favourite is Your Wife is Calling - Again though, the music beats the vox, but it's definitely the most fun

I love Your Wife Is Calling! Definitely the most unique track on the album. There's some great riffs throughout the song. Dave looks like he's having a blast when he plays it live.

It might just be because they did it on TV a couple of times now but the Springfield track is really growing on me. 'Centipede' and 'Trick With No Sleeve' still my favourites though.

Centipede is probably my favorite on the whole album. Mantra and From Can To Can't came close though. I haven't really found any tracks that I don't like...except Cut Me Some Slack is getting old.

Yeah it does have that problem that we've heard this for the last three months. It's a decent jam but not really a song to listen to over and over.

I like the Ving track but it's punk by numbers really.

I've had the album on repeat in my car. I agree with You Can't Fix This having awkward lyrics, but I found myself singing along by the 4th or 5th listen.

I don't want to hate on it too much, I do like the album, but so many of the songs are "this is just Bridge Burning/No Way Back with Rick Springfield doing a Dave Grohl impression" or "this is Paul McCartney trying to rip off Helter Skelter."

Rick Springfield's DG impression is pretty damn good though.

I'm on my first listen and it sounds damn fine so far.

I have a soft spot for You Can't Fix This, maybe because I saw her sing it at the LA show & I loved Fleetwood Mac in college.

Cut Me Some Slack would be better without McCartney. His voice doesn't work for me on that track.

I also love that one, very Stone Sour like.

The weakest part of the album for me were the lyrics on a few of the songs which were very weak and tracks 2 through 5 were not terribly impressive either. My favorites were Centipede,Mantra,From Can to Can't and Heaven and All.

I think if the album would just have consisted of the extended Foo's, BRMC,Taylor, Homme, Reznor, and Johannes and a bit more time was invested in the lyrics it would have been much stronger.
