Has anybody heard about Dave saying that they recorded 5 brand new Songs in Austin, Tx?

I thought they want to do another SH in England ?

Well, it's 4 weeks today until the Vienna Show we'll visit. And I still hope that the guys will take something different on their setlists for the Euro tour. Their last US Show is on Oct. 18th so they've got a few weeks to get ready for November.

So please Dave, Taylor, Nate, Chris, Pat and Rami... be creative I wanna see the best fucking gig of my life (until now)

Which was the last gig? Looking to see the set list and find out how mobile Dave is. Will help me decide whether to go this coming Saturday or sell my ticket. Thanks :-)

Oh it wouldn't surprise me if you're lucky enough to get a different cover or two.

I really hope the Euro shows will get a different setlist than the tour has been so far.

It could go either way - they have a lot of places that aren't key market areas and probably never will be, so

A) they'll play an interesting set containing their favourites because they don't really have to please anyone in places they wont even visit on every tour

B) they'll resort to greatest hits and covers only because that's what people most likely know in the places they've not yet been on this tour.

I predict B. It would be nice if in Poland they would play us something new or a real rarity since they haven't been there in 20 years.

Not strictly on topic but we've talked about how they've not really played the SH songs this tour and I was just thinking, they've really not promoted them on TV shows either.

Oct 2014 - SFN on Letterman (Part of week residency doing covers)
Nov 2014 - In The Clear on Ellen, a daytime show
Dec 2014 - I Am A River on Tonight Show

That's literally it. They were on Letterman this year but only played Everlong.

It's possible they could be slotted into some European shows next month but compared to previous tours it's next to nothing. Strange. Not really any interviews either. When was the last time you heard Dave talk about the songs themselves, not the TV series?

Wonder why? Are they thinking the material isn't good enough? Another reason could just simply be they haven't wanted to as some of the members have expanded their family and don't want to spend the extra time away from home?

Well that can't really be the reason, they're touring just as heavily as last tour but the TV spots just haven't been there. Given the lack of them being played live and lack of talk about them one can only conclude they just don't like them that much.

I mean they've not even appeared on SNL as musical guests. They always do that. Strange.

Well it is one of their worst records.

There was the weird South American (I think) interview where they were asked about their favourite track off the album and they didnt say much.

Well they wouldn't have to do the album part of it. Just the tour a studio, look at the city/culture part.

The TV show was great! I've understood the show might continue but it wouldnt have to be about the FF so I doubt there will be another SH album. Hope not.

I love SH as much as I love the first and the second Album. It's different but so good!

Don't get me wrong but you just can't say that it is their worst Album. Everybody has his own taste.

The 3 shows I attended this tour had 2 or 3 songs from SH, 2 or 3 full covers, and lots of greatest hits. The only deep cut was Alone & Easy Target in DC.

Ok, but I can have an opinion, right?

in my opinion it's their worst record. Just cannot listen through it.

But the TV show was awesome!

They probably haven't been invited to the TV shows, rock seems pretty low on the mainstream radar in America right now (I could be wrong, but I get the impression it's more the case in America than anywhere else, where rock still isn't doing great). I watch SNL on a regular basis and I don't know if they had one rock band last year, it's not SNL's demographic right now. On top of that, SH wasn't eligible for Grammys this year, so they didn't really have reasons to go back on TV after the initial release. (and they DID do a week on Letterman, that's more than 99% of bands) I wouldn't be surprised if they make a few more appearances if they're nominated this year.

Plus, there was the incident where they didn't play the Emmys because Fox wanted them to play Learn to Fly instead if a whole Sonic Highways track (allegedly, I suppose).
