Haha, was just going to post this! Oz fans rejoice! x

Also: Fingers crossed fans will be happy with the way it was announced too - suggesting following Channel V prior to an announcement indicates to me they weren't happy with Saturdays situation. Yay for the Aussies!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I can't believe how Channel [V] dragged me along today. I was refreshing their page every 5 minutes.

They better not be playing tomorrow night (QOTSA are playing) unless they are supporting for them.

Don't worry they're not playing any time soon, certainly not tomorrow night. they're in Germany tonight and will be in Sweden on Thursday, no way they're going to just pop to Australia in between.

I'm in Sydney in April, god I hope they're in town then.

My guess is, they'll play the Metro..or the Enmore, but it would be amazing if they played somewhere like the Annandale! (Can you IMAGINE!?)

I hope not, a pub scene would be better, this is what they want to achieve I think and not an outdoor venue, it doesn't have the same feel.
No reason they can't do both, hopefully they won't come all the way down here just to do one show and some promo.

That would be incredible, I saw Jackson United at the Annandale last time they toured, it's smaller than any of the LA clubs they played. Smaller than Dingwalls too. We can always hope.

At last, my insomnia is going to come in handy. I'm guaranteed to be still awake in 5 hours.

Isn't that what they usually do? Fly in, play the Metro, talk to Doctor (and Rove before he disapeared) and leave?

Fly in, play something at V, play a Metro show, do a shitload of promo, leave. That's two actual gigs, gimp.

♥ you too. See you tomorrow at Queens, yes?

Win tix to Foo Fighters secret gig
Channel [V]'s Foo Fighters Wasting Light On The Harbour show, to be held at a secret location on Sydney Harbour at sunset on Thursday 24 March, is set to be the gig of the year.

To celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime show we're looking for the biggest Foo Fighters fan in Australia, who will win a trip for two to Sydney to see the show, and the chance to meet the band at an exclusive backstage barbecue.

You and a mate could be sharing a snag with Dave Grohl and watching the Foo Fighters from side of stage!

We also giving away heaps of double passes to this very special event.

For your chance to win, tell us in 150 words or less why you're Australia's biggest Foo Fighters fan.

Want to enhance your entry and increase your chances of winning? Email us a photo proving your love for the Foo Fighters to feedback@vmusic.com.au.

Go the extra mile by including in your entry form a link to an original 1-minute YouTube video to show us how big a Foo Fighters fan you are.

Major prize:

- 2 x flights to Sydney
- 1 x night's accomodation
- 2 x VIP passes to the Foo Fighters' secret and exclusive Sydney show
- Chance to join the [V] crew at a backstage barbecue with the Foo Fighters
- Opportunity to meet the band and get your memorabillia signed
- Airport/hotel/gig return transfers

Runner-up prizes:

- Double pass to secret Foo Fighters show

That sounds like a damn good name for an album! Wondering if they were thinking of doing this when naming the album?!

Good luck to everyone in Oz trying to get tickets, it sounds like it'll be brilliant!

I need to find the email I sent to get in to the Storytellers gig. Worked once, no reason why it won't work again.

Talking Re: Sydney people

I don't think I have it any more.

Oh well, it was way more than 150 words anyway. I can always write a new one, it was pretty much just "I've gone all over the world to see them! My favourite song is an obscure B-side from 2002! Pick me!" but with more words.

I think "I'm batshit insane" would also cover it.
