Foo Fighters at the Annandale? That sounds like an extremely good (very sweaty) idea :-)

(Sorry for a bit of a threadjack, but is the Sando on King St still a venue? If so I suggest they play a year long residency there.)

Yeah, probably for the best. No offense to anyone else of course, but I'm pretty certain you're the most "hardcore" Australian fan I know anyway.

Sure she's "batshit insane"...but with the number of enablers spread all over the world added to her #1 enabler at home, how could she be anything but? When in doubt, we just ask ourselves WWLD?

Lara, if you can't win this, there's something wrong

Shame about the word limit... we could all write references for you

So I entered, but I don't think i'll get it. If someone finds out the venue early.. I've moved from close to Sydney to close to Brisbane (still in NSW) so i'd have to fly down.

Well since it mentions the gig taking place at sunset it's surely going to be outside somewhere, so you'll maybe be able to hear it from afar even if you can't get into the actual event.

Oh well, it was way more than 150 words anyway. I can always write a new one, it was pretty much just "I've gone all over the world to see them! My favourite song is an obscure B-side from 2002! Pick me!" but with more words.
my favourite song is an obscure unreleased recording from 1994 >_< I gave them the schpiel about how I waited in the rain for tickets (that's how I got my user name Number 46) and how I went to see them a couple of days after my mum passed away and managed to get one of DG's guitar picks. I'd be just as happy to pay to see them though.

But the fact that you could submit a youtube video instead of a 150 word post gives me little hope. Because i've seen people on youtube who are obsessed with things and it's never pretty.

Ditto. And I managed to mention every gig (and Storytellers twice!) and stay under 150 words. And the Sydney rain! God that was brutal. But worth it.

And yeah, youtube isn't gonna make it easy. But hell, I'd be happy just to get a consolation prize, I don't really care about all the extra shit. You'd probably have to suck channel V dick all day anyway.

So, can someone please clarify this.....

Channel V is having their competition, to either utube something or write in 150 words or less why you want to see them?

And

The tripleM's Australia wide are having competitions as well?
I heard Eddie say this morning that they, in Melb are sending 100 lucky people to Sydney for the performance. Did anyone else hear that or was I dreaming at 7.50am?

Nice try, but I think I'd have to take Daz, I kind of owe him.

y'all got stuck in the rain too? I wasn't far from the front, my complexion had a tinge of purple in it by the time I got to the ticket booth, I was soaked. I mentioned this too and would also be happy just to be there.
I did, I flew up from Melbourne with an umbrella and a sleeping bag, and got wetter than I've ever been in my life. It was nuts! But totally worth it.

Agghhh. TripleM Melb will also announce on Monday also 'how' to win tickets.
The V thing and emailing them, yeah, no probs, can do that til the cows come home....but radio competitions...aghh.

I kind of like knowing that I won't know anyone and it will just be, (hopefully) true fans who would love the fact that they can talk about ff to someone else without their eyes rolling.

But Foo'i... gotta be in it to win it. Best of luck to us all.
