Default Charting the Chart Performance

Since nobody else noticed "Rope" is the #1 rock song on radio in the US in it's first week (http://www.billboard.com/charts/rock...rts/rock-songs)

It seemed like a decent time to put together a little sticky so people can share links on how well the record (and singles) are doing.

So yeah, Rope is #1 with a bullet on rock radio (#69 for all music) in the US and #131 overall on ITunes in the US

Feel free to share other charts and what not (for other countries) and yeah this will be a nice little realtime update on the Foos return to dominance.

Rope was at #82 on Itunes a few days ago. But now it's back to #132. Any chance it'll go up? or is it gonna fizzle out until the album is released

#207 paid download on Amazon (#17 among rock songs)

The Wasting Light CD is already #31 on their music charts, just from preorders

That's sweet! Too bad the radio station out here plays more Linkin Park than anything...

Does anyone know how high it actually got on Itunes? I saw 82 but it may have been higher earlier in the week

Rope debuted at the end of last week in the following positions for the following countries. It should be noted that the single certainly would have charted higher if there had been a physical CD release and music video to promote. So it has done well considering it was released as download only, but because of that it will probably only remain in the singles sales charts for one week.

UK singles: 22
Holland singles: 31
Belgium singles: 35
Canadian singles: 81

Foos' singles usually chart in Australia and New Zealand but I think they are a week behind or something like that. So is this the end of Foos releasing physical singles ?

Not really chart-related, but Rope is 'Hotshot of the Week' at the Belgian rock radio station Studio Brussel. They've also done an interview with Nate in London, but they only broadcast little parts of it now and then. I hope they will upload the whole interview on their website, because e-mailing them clearly doesn't work.

Default Foo Fighters Flying Towards First No. 1 Album - Billboard.com

Move or close thread if appropriate, mods.

http://www.billboard.com/news/foo-fi...05133952.story

After nearly 16 years, six studio albums, a live set and a greatest hits package -- Foo Fighters are finally heading for its first No. 1 album next week.

Industry prognosticators suggest their new "Wasting Light" album could sell over 200,000 copies by week's end on Sunday, April 17 -- easily placing the RCA set ahead of new entries from Alison Krauss and Union Station, Paul Simon, Jessie J and Mana.

Foo Fighters have previously landed eight entries on the Billboard 200 -- with five of them reaching the top 10. They've gone as high as No. 2 with 2005's "In Your Honor" (which bowed with 311,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan) and have hit No. 3 twice with 2002's "One by One" and 2007's "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace."

The latter set is their last studio effort, and it bowed with 168,000 on its way to a cumulative total of 897,000.

Other albums on tap to make a top 10 bow next week include Krauss and Union Station's "Paper Airplane," Jessie J's debut set "Who You Are," Paul Simon's Phil Ramone-produced "So Beautiful Or So What" and Mana's "Drama Y Luz."

couldn't be prouder for the boys.

(kinda off topic: for some reason, I hate when people refer to albums as "efforts", sounds weird to me)

I could not be happier about this. Now all they need to do is go after all those Thriller/Dark Side type records for longevity
