I imagine most of the campaign was the bands idea. I know the secret shows were, and the documentary...and the garage shows. I'm pretty sure the band had the idea for all of it. Which is great and good to see.

It's still not on Billboard. Anyone know when it will be up?

I think it takes awhile for the actual charts to be updated after the week's sales results are in. Not sure if it's a few days or whatever though.

#3 in the US in its second week, beaten out by Adele at #1 and a Glee album at #2. That's a pretty strong showing, I thought it would drop out of the top 10.

Default Wasting Light went from #3 album in country to #2

I'm really busy with my music right now, so I haven't been posting much. But did anyone notice this?

http://www.billboard.com/#/charts/billboard-200

The Foos debuted at #1, the second week they fell to #3, and then they went back up a spot on the third week.

I have never seen them do that before. Amazing.

At some point I'm going to post a full on review of the album, for now I'll just say I have throughly enjoyed it, especially the polychords/deeper melodic structure. Fascinating stuff from a musicological perspective. But more importantly, it rocks.

Really expected this to drop out of the top 10 by now. Even out of the top 20 wouldn't have surprised me. It's funny because it seems like they were a lot quieter this past week in terms of making appearances and promotion.

Good rock n roll music has a market!

RIP autotune! Bring back guitar feedback and real passionate performances!
Truer words never spoken-
and Wasting Light and this band of musicians frankly deserves all the accolades comin' their way@! cheerios:>

#13 this week in the US. They had a lot of debuts...plus Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" inexplicably came in at #11

That'll be because of Glee, sadly.

I thought they didn't include old albums in the best selling list . . . if they did, the top albums in the country would all be by dead/old artists.
