Well, like everyone else, I heard about the new album for this year, I heard that maybe will come out in December of this year, or November. Does someone knows about something about it? new info? Here the link: http://noisecreep.com/foo-fighters-t...egun-new-album

Any dates are just rumours. They've started working on the album but it's at the very early stages and even the band won't know when it will be released yet.

With that being said considering they've usually spent three months on recording an album in recent years and with Dave saying this album could take longer because of what he had planned it's highly unlikely we'll see an album this year.

I've merged your thread into the already existing 'next album' thread, keeps things tidier to discuss it in one thread.

A new record within 6 months is more than a bit of a longshot.

The best barometer for a timeframe is it's usually around 6-8 months from the time they start recording actual tracks that something comes out.

Also you have to sometimes factor in the time it takes to scrap the record and rerecord everything, a la TCATS, 1X1, and the IYH rock disc.

Taylor mentions the new album in the final 2 minutes of this new interview. He says they're talking about it currently, they'll hopefully be picking up instruments toward the end of summer, and should have something out by Christmas next year, maybe sooner...

So I guess that would tie in with a 20th anniversary tour [late 2014/festivals 2015].

If they're going to potentially start playing music/recording towards the end of summer this year, it would seem a long time until Christmas 2014. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a completed record sooner than that. Unless they're planning on recording it in space..

Dave did say what they had planned would take longer than normal.

As for Glastonbury there is no rumour really, it's just the bookmakers favourites because they think they'll have an album out by then. There is no substance to the rumour/favourite.
