![]() Quote:
I used to own the CD single, and one of the b-sides is a seperate rock remix that's very different up to Lil' Kim's part. I've always suspected this was Dave's entire rock track. The drums are heavier and the guitar is different. The drum ending is also different, with the drummer (I'm guessing Dave) banging away on an open hihat and crashing cymbals (Dave's MO). Unfortunately, I lost the CD years ago. EDIT: I found a clip online from Artistdirect of this second rock version; it actually credits at least one extra musician, which would mean there are more collaborators on this version that on the more widely known rock remix. And yet, the drums sound to me more like Dave to me than the other version. I could be wrong -- I'm not basing that judgment on anything but the intuition of my own ears, but have a listen and see if you all agree. Last edited by OldFooFan : November 4th 2011 at 02:54 AM. |

![]() Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl says his wedding day was perfect - and that
was before he even got to the ceremony. Dave - who used to drum for the legendary Nirvana - woke up at band mate Taylor Hawkins’ house and then proceeded to "jam" before heading to the service earlier this year. He says, "My wedding day was my perfect day. I spent the night at Taylor's the night before. We woke up in the morning, had a big breakfast, and had some bacon and some eggs. Sat by the pool for a while with a couple of cups of coffee, went to the studio and jammed for an hour or two, came up with a bunch of new riffs. Went back to the pool and went to my wedding. Even before the wedding, it was one of the greatest days of my life. I see a lot of those days in the future. In the near future." (WENN) |
