Topanga Daze...
If you get a chance... go to the Topanga Daze on the 26th and catch the best dirt rock cover band in the land... The Chevy Metal. There's other great things up there in that little hippie enclave above the valley and the Malibu. There's good food... albeit, maybe a bit greasy. I like the roasted artichokes and the bratwursts. There's a bunch of stuff for the kids to do... if you got the kids. There's a giant bunny (I hope he didn't die since last Memorial Day... he was awfully fat). And games and other kid's crap.
There's also belly dancers and bra-less little hippie chicks and crazy spinning hippie burn-out dude. And weird stuff for sale and pie eating contests and stuff. And you don't even have to wear clean clothes (because it can get a bit dusty on the baseball diamond). And best of all, good ol' 70's Rock. Hopefully, you can make it out there. Maybe, they'll play, 'A Quick One, While He's Away' for you. See you there.

I got SUPER lucky planning my trip to visit my brother in LA in May, even more lucky that I'm leaving the 27th. So excited!
