Default Western Ballads

Spring is closing in and warmer times is on its way so im dusting off the old Jackson United record. It has been my "spring" record for a few years and it keeps on getting better each year.

Brilliant little record that!

I tend to listen more in the summer - it's the surf/beach vibe. I love listening to it when I'm out walking in the summer. Cracking album.

Funny how this thread was started, as I listened to Western Ballads and Harmony & Dissidence each of my past two commutes!

I'd have to say that "Long Shadow" is my favorite off that record.

I love that album. And Jackson United in general, they need to make more albums.

I love this album, i reckon the vocals are a tad quiet on it though :/ i don't know if anyone else noticed that. As for Jackson United in general they're becoming one of my favourite bands and i wish i'd discovered them before

always loved that record, it became even more special when I got to see 2 gigs from their tour of that album, see soundchecks and hang out with all of them. this album represents one of the most memorable moments in my life, that's for sure.

my favorites are Unchanged, Sharp Edges and Loose Ends. but all of them still amazing.

Definitely the perfect summer record. Got it at the end of my junior year in high school and 8 years later it still finds a place in my regular rotation.

I was pretty upset last time Chris came here (Reno). Joey Cape had a decent crowd. Chris had 5 people. It kinda explains why good shows never come here.

Well, when he played up here in Minneapolis for the Dead Peasants show, there wasn't a whole lot more than that. Maybe 10-20 total there just for him? Even then, I think the people who were there made it more than worth his while, and I was even telling him afterward how I wished we got a Jackson show before that. He says they never got around to it, but I suspect his focus on the western states and California for those shows was a reason why. I think they played in places like Milwaukee back in '04 though.

I feel the same way. I was so looking forward to seeing them and then having the show get cancelled totally bummed me out.
