not stellar, but powerful enough for great results.

Spinning in Daffodils has a pretty good range.

Good song - but I don't think this one demonstrates any versatility in vocal range at all. Its the same tone throughout.

His guitar licks are one of a kind, however, and the music behind him sounds great, but I just cant get past his monotone singing.

Obviously, I am out numbered here and being backed into a corner, but my opinions haven't changed.

the vocal in the verses are pretty monotone, but very well fitting to the instrumental, the chorus however, shows a much richer variation and it's hard for anyone to do that live as good as recorded, that's the main reason why I chose this video to back that up.

I'm not trying to change your opinion, but hopefully show you aspects that you could not be aware of previously, I really like his voice at the chorus of this song.

You tell me which is more monotonous. TCV would be shit with Dave on vocals.

I realize that man, I guess I didn't understand the extent of how many die hard QOTSA fans there are here.

I prefer TCV or even EODM over QOTSA - not knockin them and Josh certainly is an artist in his own merit, I just cant get that into them. Not in my top 10, if you will- but a good band, nonetheless.

well, Josh being a very important part of Dave's biggest side project in recent years would have a lot of back up from people. people are entitled to their opinions, but around here very few demonstrated dislike for TCV, even less for Josh's participation, I think the fact of having a lot of qotsa fans here is a natural extension of that and pretty much expected.

I've noticed more of an anti-Nirvana attitude than a pro-QOTSA, which is shocking to me.

Hell oh well, we all love FF, thats why we are here.

Thumbs up Re: is it OK to be a Foo fan and think Homme is a d-bag?

Well aside from the BS on this thread, I did check out some vids of QOTSA and not having heard much of them aside from their few bigger hits, I kinda like'em.

Thanks!!

Nice one! Bringing new music to new people. Check out songs for the deaf as a starter point and listen to it front to back. Top album (great drums ).
