I wouldn't be surprised if a Foos, QOTSA, Royal blood wembley/MK/Hyde park event got announced for the UK next summer

Rise against would be cool too!

But they toured with them on their Wasting Light tour (alternating with CTE).

Can't see both supporting in the UK. Royal Blood and QOTSA are both arena size acts here now.

Royal Blood supported on the last stadium tour so would be extremely unlikely to support here now. Wolf Alice may be a possibility. I love their albums.

I also think a Hyde Park show is extremely unlikely with two nights already in London at the Olympic Stadium. Transmit festival in Glasgow added a second weekend of gigs so might just be booked but haven't checked against Foos schedule.

Is Royal Blood an arena size act here in the US yet?

I'm not so sure. They could use the publicity with the Foo here IMO.

I do think they'll be the next big thing in rock in the US though.

Eh they've both sold out incredibly quickly, if it was part of the BST festival I could see it although think Queens would headline it themselves.

Idk if QOTSA is as popular of a show as people think either.

Took them several days to sell out the Aragon here in Chicago.

They sold out their UK shows just as quickly as Foos, granted they're not playing stadiums just arenas but there's still huge demand in the UK. I'm seeing them tomorrow

From a different forum (that I used to frequent quite often until a few years ago)

why have QOTSA been disregarded? this would be the first year that the secret set from the previous year hasn't played.
According to someone from Live Nation they're doing their own outdoor shows. I imagine Wolf Alice were supposed to be the secret set who played the following year but then QOTSA became a possibility because of their new album release so they got them in, too.
This is with regards to Reading and Leeds festivals (the discussion) so if that is true then QotSA wouldn't be supporting the Foos.

I think you misunderstand my views on QOTSA - I am seeing them myself again on Thursday in Edinburgh.

I think QOTSA will be back for Reading and Leeds in August, and Royal Blood are supporting QOTSA in the U.S. but wouldn't likely want to do that here at venues they are headlining on their own.

Can't see them as single headliners although that'd be quality

Did they? I'm not sure, because tickets for Wembley went on sale in July, and there were some left when I bought mine in mid-October

(granted there weren't any good seats left!)

Its the weekend after the Foos so I am going to have to pass and hope this ends up in Scotland as part of Transmit festival.

Two trips to London with all the added expense is a bit much two weekends in a row!

I just booked tickets this week for Iron Maiden in Newcastle and Manic Street Preachers in Glasgow (seen them approaching 30 times now).

Wembley was an extra date but the original dates sold out in an hour

I'm just speaking for the US side of things and specifically Chicago which is a good measuring stick.

QOTSA (and most other rock/alt bands) aren't as big of a draw as they were in the 2000's.
