Default Dave's on voice rest 😮

Saw this on Facebook. They resscheduled the next couple of Canada dates. Comments said he barely made it through the Seattle show.

I'll still never understand how he made it through the Des Moines gig the way he did last November, then actually sounded BETTER the night right after in Sioux Falls! I was pretty much planning to go back home once they announced a postponement the next morning. But that never happened.

Sorry it didn't work out as well for our Alberta friends this time around! Hopefully it's works out best in the long run.

We had tickets to both the Edmonton and Calgary show. Too and they announced it so late, because we weren’t able to cancel our Edmonton accommodations within the 24 hour time frame in order to get our money back.

Oh well, at least we’re able to attend on both the re-scheduled dates, but it’s funny that they’re now back to back. That’ll be a lot of driving in one day !

Poor Dave! 😦 I've seen the Foos twice on this tour. Dave always gives it his all. He's so high-energy, but with all this touring, I'm not surprised. Get well soon, Dave! Love you 💜

It's the ol' holiday curse...Work long and hard and all viruses slide off you like you're Teflon, then once you go on break and come back, BAM.

I was at the Seattle show, and yeah, Dave was having serious voice trouble as it went on. They finished the night with 'Everlong,' and by the end of it we could barely hear him. He explained that he had a cold, but if he could come back onstage and finish a show with a broken leg, he wasn't going to cancel a show over a cold.

I felt bad for him, and other members of the audience around me were very concerned and sympathetic; I didn't hear anybody complain. They still put on an incredible show, and it was totally worth going. Despite my concern for Dave, I walked out of there high as a kite, and I'm still feeling the buzz.

I have a ticket for Portland on the 10th, and can't wait. I'm just now getting my own voice back, and am looking forward to ruining it again.

I'm sure if you explain it to the manager they might give you some money back. I mean, surely they would understand?

they did It was an Airbnb rental and the owner was really good about it. On the calendar it showed that the date of the new show was booked, but when I explained to him what happened, he refunded the money and opened up Oct. 22nd, so we were able to re-book it. Great service!

On another note....now that they've set later dates, does that also mean there will be a different opening act?

Just reading the thread.. first time posting.. We saw them in Manchester and his voice was pretty spectacular that night but there had been rumours he was suffering and that he had lost his voice around the same time Eddie Veder did... Feel really sorry for everyone who has had to reschedule but having said that they put on an awesome show!

Great customer service from the Airbnb guy tho!

When it got at peak bad in Seattle, I noticed Taylor and Chris came in on extra backing vocals. We know Taylor does a ton of harmonies, but he was practically singing the songs for Dave at some point. Hence the random Cold Day in the Sun tossed in.

Dave struggling was a downer, but his never give up spirit and seeing Taylor and Chris step up was amazing. Made it a very special show.
