Two Black on Black vinyls arrived today. Side D has the same etching as the regular edition "bangingontheceiling.com". The logo is embossed on the front cover.

Here's a pic of the regular & LE version side by side

Anybody notice that the snare drum sound changes during the quiet bridge of Sunday Rain? I wonder if it's actually McCartney throughout the track.

I'm getting into this album more and more. Concrete and Gold took a while to click for me, which is surprising as I love Pink Floyd, but really liking it now.

The intro to Dirty Water really sounds like an up tempo version of Blur's Coffee and TV ( to me anyway )

You can definitely hear the different drum fingerprints, the beginning and quiet bridge are Paul... The rest is Taylor.

Listened to it twice. I like it. The album flows unlike Sonic Highways, which just doesn't hold together as an album for me.

On to the O2. Won't be making the Foo Fighters Arms, sadly and have to catch a train tomorrow before it's open again.

At first I thought it was because the bridge is quiet that it made the snare sound like it had more punch to it, but the intro is drum only and it sounds totally different, to my ears anyway.

I found out my work could have sent me to London on Monday on a training course. Might have tried to make the quiz if that had happened.

I got the email about that course on Monday. I work in Edinburgh.

Cool, but odd word of choice, "honest". Have there been dishonest reviews?

The song “La Dee Da” refers to cult leader Jim Jones and certain bands associated with neo-Nazism, while “Arrows” seems to tell the story of a female refugee.
Is this supposed to be the honest part? Because it's looking at the content through a very specific lens and making a lot of assumptions based on what they expect to see. More like cognitive bias.

To be fair, there is one: http://www.thecrimson.com/article/20...d-gold-review/ It's a site by Harvard students for Harvard students. So.

Yes, which is why i was curious about it being an 'honest' review. Seems like his own review, not sure why he didn't say that.
