Cool Concrete in Dolby ATMOS

How do I buy the Dolby ATMOS encoded version of Concrete and Gold?
Does it need to be the Blu Ray in order to get the best Dolby ATMOS experience. BTW not concerned about video, just focused on the music listening experience.

There is no such thing, as far as I know. It's not released as Blu-Ray audio, the only Hi-Res version available is a digital version at 44.1khz/24-Bit.

YES fortunately there IS. I listened to a Dolby ATMOS demo of the album at the NAMM show in Los Angeles and even talked with the Dolby ATMOS mixer/engineer about the process. It seems ATMOS is relatively new so people need to be informed of it. So I just need to know how to purchase the album in Dolby ATMOS. If you can find out or forward a contact who knows, that would be greatly appreciated. Thx

If it has been made available anywhere, it is probably demo only such as what you saw at the industry show. The album wasn't mixed in Atmos, but it did have ProTools, so is there a chance that the demo might have used the plug-in? (I don't know that much about the technology.) There has been no information around suggesting a C&G release optimized to be Atmos-capable, and if something had come up, i'm sure a keen-eyed fan would have posted it here. I assume playing the album through Atmos speakers would produce the effect.

Dolby would be better equipped to answer this: https://www.dolby.com/us/en/about/co.../email-us.aspx

Won't get into details but it's really not as simple a task as only using a plug-in..

This!

If you youtube how a Film Score is mixed for 5.1 you'd only be seeing a small part of what goes into an Atmos mix.

The number of people with an Atmos set up at home is so small, and then for them to be a Foos fan too, it's just not worth either paying an engineer to mix it, or to produce copies of it.

There you go, I know next to nothing But I also don't know anyone else who does, and as Jon84 said, the technology hasn't taken on so far as to be in every other home yet. It doesn't warrant making something especially. Unless you're R.E.M.

I also don't think it will, more people just buy 2.1 Sound Bars now than full 5.1 systems.

The home stereo market is not nearly what it used to be.

The headphone market on the other hand.. Think Beats for example. Thank ypu mobile streaming.

Makes me laugh, buying expensive headphones for streaming music at low bit rates!!

I have an unlimited data plan so can run my Spotify at Max Quality all the time, but it's still not like listening to a CD!
