![]() Welp. They were amazing as always and will have made a lot of new fans. Really put on a “rock” show but there was nothing particularly special set-wise after all the hype.

![]() I’ll Stick Around and Hey JP were the only that were not 100% standard FF show material

![]() In terms of their recent sets, they’re standard. Feeling a bit better I had to sell my ticket as they didn’t play anything I haven’t already seen. Sounded great on the stream tho!

![]() They played the crap out of that show for sure. Though I'm curious to see if the written setlist was any different.

![]() Played I'll stick around and HJP in Dublin and Belfast but I'm not complaining.A decent mix of hits and a couple of older fan favs with the greatest rock band on the face of the planet is winner, winner with me.

![]() Considering the level to which the show had been talked-up - I really could’ve done without the Rick Astley appearance.
But, whatever...

Until this happened. The reading audience are too young for Astley.

![]() Some good performances in that set, but can't help feeling a little disappointed based on the comments in the media about all the crazy shit they could do, and asking for songs to be played on social media.

![]() Can't help feeling like this was an opportunity consciously missed. The significance of the occasion turned out to be mostly talk, which after all that build-up in the media (and totally intentional) was a little deflating. Huge crowd, huge hits, special guest, covers, nothing that really wowed us jaded old-timers.
Having said that, maybe we pinned all our hopes on this telling us what to expect in 2020 when we've always known they play with their cards close to their chests.

![]() It does seem like a bit of a lost opportunity. Maybe they had planned more but shied away in favour of staying with the "tried and tested". I get why they might choose to do that.
