Foos tweeted it was sold out after 18 minutes. Holy balls.

Yeah, I managed to get out of the waiting room at about 7 minutes in and tried pulling up a GA ticket, but it kept getting the error message until the sell out was announced. I can't remember having this much trouble pulling up something through other ticket vendors. But admittedly, the demand might be a bit higher this time around for the lack of other tour dates, a lot of people wanting tickets, etc.

Would still like to make this show, but we'll see what happens the closer we get! An arena tour with dates near me will make missing this one a bit easier if it comes down to it...

I don't know if you noticed but they are pretty freaking popular right now. TV shows, album roll out...they have a lot of attention right now. Some groups sell out immediately. So I don't think it's out of the realm.

And it all gets amplified by scalpers. They want to sell what is popular, so take the actual demand for people who actually want to go and multiply that times whatever since the scalpers want to buy what is popular as well. That is what makes stadium /arena shows sell out immediately

I tried...i couldn't get anything. The good news is, at least the tickets end up going down in value on the secondary market over time when shows are this far out....maybe i'll be able to afford one sometime next year once they have been sitting there for a while.

Unhappy Re: Chicago Announced

So disappointed, I could cry. I've only seen FF once (Milwaukee 2012) and I can't even get tickets in my own frickin' city. Hoping they add a second show - so I can sit through this "virtual waiting room" nonsense once again.

I thought Ticketbastard was bad, but good grief. Tickets.com sucks balls.

Was on the website before 10:00 trying to purchase tickets, 2 of us on 2 different computers and could never get tickets, would have taken any tickets and would take as few as 2 and as many as 4 but could not get any, even got as far to giving my credit card information and then knocked out of the website. I don't think the Cubs were prepared for this. Really sad we didn't get tickets

I actually got tickets to checkout twice and it rejected my credit card. My cards are good and I buy Cubs tickets with that card without problems. Kick me. I had GA in my freakin cart and got shut out! I'm not doing well in the ticket department this month.

No kidding... fees and all, Ticketmaster has always at least brought up something for tickets (instead of a waiting room, haha).

I'm sure they will. And once they do, it's possible that the ticket prices from other vendors for Wrigley could go down. Either way, I doubt that we'd have any trouble seeing them sometime next year.

It's a bit of a waste just doing one show at a stadium!

I could see them doing a Friday show, the Cubs are in LA that week/weekend. But Sunday is unlikely due to curfew and the fact the Cubs are back Monday night.

But it is unlikely, because they usually put the Friday show on sale first and then the Saturday show for stuff like this. I believe they added second dates for Bruce Springsteen and some others in the past...

The Police concert there was originally to be a single show, and they added a second when tickets sold out quickly... It seemed evident that a lot of the tickets were bought by secondary market planning folks, because the first concert while sold out, was not full and the second concert was not full either and tickets plummeted in price the week before the shows, especially for the second one.

I admit, this show sold out way faster than I thought. Of six people trying, one person got one ticket, and another got two. That's it (we were only trying for GA).

But I do still believe that if you're fine with sitting, tickets will eventually be on stubhub at pretty decent prices. There will be a bunch of other shows announced, and folks from out of town will go to their local show, not the Chicago show (thought to me that's CRAZY with Cheap Trick and UO on this bill).

GA for this show may always be a tough ticket, just because they are by far the best tickets, esp. for the types of fans in to Foo.

Which is good news. As I said, the Summerfest show in Milwaukee a couple years back, had a lot of empty seats. I was kind of stunned, since I thought they were hitting their peak at that time.
