Default The Full Scandinavian Thread...

... for all your Scandinavia Foo-needs.
T@lor and I thought it might be easier to bring all the info together in one thread.

So here are the ticketlinks:
Sweden.
http://www.ticnet.se/html/artist.htm...+The+Action+Is

Norway.
http://www.billettservice.no/html/se...foo+figh ters

Finland.
http://www.provinssirock.fi/en/

I dunno if there's any more info we need in this thread, but I guess you guys can add as much as you like.
BTW, I still keep my fingers crossed for a Copenhagen date!!!!

Finland isn't Scandinavia, by the way. Call it the Nordic thread then...

I was wondering if somebody would say something about Finland and Scandinavia...
Actually this thread should be called Fenno-Scandinavian thread if we are splitting hairs.

It probably won't be sold in one day as there is no news on other artists. Nevertheless, I have a day off next monday and I'm going to post at my computer to buy tickets ASAP as they go on sale.

Could the tour list be updated on the front page? Seinäjoki is missing.

Wink Re: The Full Scandinavian Thread...

Hi.

Just starting to come down from my footastic night in Bergen. Been to quite a few shows, since my debut at the Quart-festival in '96 but this night will be the one I'll remember the most.

As me and my friend were driving into the parking garage at the SAS hotel, a 5 minute walk from the arena, we said; wouldn't it be cool if the bands stayed at our hotel?

Well, 5 minutes after settling in, I get a call from another friend outside smoking, telling me to get down as all of the Queens were there, also smoking. Needless to say, I rushed down and lo and behold, there they were. Got to do the whole meet and greet, saying how much I enjoyed the show in Oslo in February, asked when their set would start and what not. They were pretty tired/sick with the flu, so I didn't push my luck getting them to pose for pics. You don't wanna get on the bad side of Josh.

That was it, I thought, this can't be topped, might as well get ready for the concert, after texting probably everyone on my phone list. As those of you who were there can testify, the show was killer, as always. Shame about the lines for beer though, but that's life.

After the show, we stumbled back to the hotel, me and five friends. Thought we'd have a drink in the hotel bar before moving on into the night. Let's just say I'm glad we stayed put. Because as I was ordering my second beer in the bar, Nate, Pat and Drew enter the lobby and head for the elevators. I'm totally put out, so I only manage do a sort of goofy wave and smile as they get in the elevator. Thankfully they return the wave and laugh. For some reason the elevator doors open again and I do another wave, so do they, laughing even more.

Back at our table, my friends have a bit of fun at my expense until Drew comes back down to make a call. As he gets back to the elevators I tell him, "great triangle solo!" which makes him laugh and I get a "thank you kindly, sir!" in return. Such a cool guy.

Next through the doors is Rami Jaffee, who agrees to a photo and asks us to keep the bar open for him a little longer. We agree, of course. Then enters Taylor. We just can't believe our luck, as we're the only ones in the bar who seem to know who all these guys even are. The Hawk confirmed my impression of him being all-round nice guy and stopped for a chat about the show and posed for a pic with me.

Five minutes later, Josh and his gang come throught the door, but only have time for a nod and wave before they head towards the elevators. But they can't reach it quite, because Dave himself comes running and tells them to wait for him. Some lucky bastard who was standing at the elevators and waiting got to share a ride with the whole group going up. Shame he probably didn't know who they all were.

Thankfully, 5 minutes later, Dave comes back down all alone. We get him over to our table and he poses for a group picture. I just couldn't believe it; Dave Grohl has his arm on my shoulder, pats me on the back and tells us to enjoy the evening. And I did. I spent 10 minutes chatting with Nate in the bar, about his infamous solo, being a fellow ginger, touring, the now bankrupt Quart-festival. All the while, Dave is behind us, telling Troy van Leeuwen and someone from the management a story about, I think, his dad trying chewing tobacco, imitating him spitting like crazy. Totally surreal for a life long fan as myself.

Sadly it had to end and they made their way to their suites to carry on, as we had to go out a get some fresh air or else I think we might have overloaded. I had planned to go to the Oslo show, but had to cancel due to other immidiate plans but as I said, this was probably a once in a life time night and one I'll remember for a very, very long time. The pictures have been sent for processing and I will soon being to wallpaper my flat with them

Hopefully some of you will get to experience this type of night as well!

Best regards,
JPNOR

It was Wicked!(provinssi) it hurts everywhere after standing in front...but all worth it and i got a pic! but it is easier to see the whole band in an arena, provinssi's stage was so high up (and i'm not the tallest ) but easily worth all the effort! pure greatness
