Went and saw them last night at the local record store ... they sounded really good. While I'm not a fan of country, something about a live show always makes it sound better. Chris looks great and the rest of the band are all just so damn nice. Got the CD signed and a poster signed as well.

Setlist: Guitar Pickin Man, Good Time Charlies, Wham Bam, I'm Gonna Break, Pop A Top, Happy Part of Town, Live Fast, Bull by the Horns, King of Fools, The Bottle Let Me Down, Playboy, A Woman Like You, Swinging Doors, Are you Sure, Hank

The stuff Chris plays is the old Country... which is what I like. And he seems to have a great time playing it. I think it's because he's in a band with some long time friends... like friends from being a kid friends... which is probably a lot of fun. Old country has a lot of influence on rock. Even punk rockers like Joe Strummer and John Doe played country music in their other bands.
We've seen the Dead Peasants a few times... one of the best was at that old bar out in Santa Ynez... a real life Honky Tonk with real life Honky Tonk women and everything. There was full on line dancing and two-steppin' and all that shit kicker shit. It was tons of fun.
After the shows, he said people don't dance at Foo Fighter shows... and I said it's because us Foo Fighter fans don't know how to dance. We can jump around like sonzovbitches... but, we can't dance.
...
Something funny I heard that night... some guy at the table next to us asked his lady friend, 'Which one of those fellas is in the Foo Fighters?', and she replied, 'The who? Never heard of them.'. I thought that was great.
