Here is a translated version of the article. Some grammatical errors, but you can make out what it is saying for the most part.

"In June 2010, Paul McCartney received the Gershwin in the popular song category, given by the US Congress Library of the United States. At a ceremony at the White House, attended by President Barack Obama, ducked in the suit Dave Grohl led McCartney to perform the song Band On The Run. Earlier, he made a short statement, in which he admitted that Paul is his unquestioning hero. Mr. President, you are my second hero, "he added quickly.
The leader's declaration of Foo Fighters sounded awkward, and Paul McCartney is now accompanied by Grohl often on different occasions, both private and artistic. He also had to be present on Concrete And Gold, where he appeared as a drummer in one song - Sunday Rain. It seems, however, that the influence that Sir Paul made on this record is much greater. Concrete And Gold is the most beatifully sounding album of the group (although Chris Shiflett has denied such inspiration).
When I talked to Dave about the album, I painted her picture as a heavy metal version of "Sergeant Pepper", says producer Greg Kurstin. The album did not work well, because the album seems to be a tribute to another Beatles masterpiece, Abbey Road - a powerful, multicolored, juicy album. Concrete and Gold achieved a similar sound effect of the full, all-encompassing ocean of sounds. It's like the combination of scary guitars from Come Together, the monumental keys from I Want You, the polyphonic of Because and the stunned drums from The End. It also did not pick up the Foo Fighters of their individuality. Ba, everything that is characteristic of the style of the group, that is great melodies, postgrunge dirt, punk energy and progroc kin in this setting fall out still great. Inconspicuous acoustic admission and then a sudden guitar-choral-organ explosion - this is a brief, trademarked t-shirt album. In the run of the music video, the band spins all over. It's almost six minutes long, compositionally - in line with the band's custom - expanded, with a great riff, sometimes furious, overdriven vocal and full of charms (as Shiflett admits, new full-time member Rami Jaffee played a bigger role in recording the album). Finally, contagious hit, which was always the strength of Foo Fighters. Grohl can just pick up such notes to make a man play in his soul. With this kind of hit, we have to deal with virtually every song, like Make It Right with great refrain and cool scandal verses - personally, they remind me of Zero The Hero Black Sabbath - apocalyptic The Sky Is A Neighborhood, the song pretty The Line or typical foofighter Arrows. Typically Foofighter is in turn a rhythmic combination (although, as it is known, the band draws from Rush in this issue) in La Dee Da, where Dave Grohl's team sometimes punches the listener with an unexpected syncopation, and somewhere else actually breaks a piece of tact. Sunday Rain is beatles not only by the simple (but not so simple) McCartney drum - the introduction of George Harrison. Happy Ever After is a style of 1950's popular music, in which he loved Paul McCartney.
A little contrary to what Grohl recalls in his interviews, there are not many motörhead elements in Concrete And Gold (dirty and aggressive fragments appear sporadically), as are riffs. In fact, Foo Fighters was never a special riff band. He always played heavy guitar songs. On this album we will find eleven, all in a beautiful setting. And although it's hard to name this breakthrough album or the exceptionally original one in the group's work, it shows her work in a refreshing, exciting character. So there is everything you love about Foo Fighters and a bit more to it - and that should be the best recommendation."

Super secret special pop-star guest is a 'he'.... (not sure if we knew that much yet or not)
Quote:
"While many people have speculated it is a female pop artist, with Lady Gaga, Adele and Taylor Swift thrown into the rumour mill, Grohl let slip in Sydney that the secret backing singer is a “he”. So perhaps it is Justin Timberlake or the other Justin, Bieber."

if such a pop star as Justin Bieber is featured on a Foo Fighters album, I may have to rethink my life

I think we're safe from him, he doesn't fit the "around a long time" bill.

Decide on whether to sell your Foo records or your Bieber records? One has to go.

Neither does Ed Sheeran, who's the other big male popstar right now

Timberlake is a decent guess, and he's also a good musician who plays a bunch of instruments, which would fit with Dave saying the guest is more talented than he knew.

Dave also said it's the guest who approached them and asked to sing. Timberlake likes a fun collab, and he's just the right age to have grown up with the FF (unlike Bieber, who's probably never heard of them). My non-existing money is on him.

With Timberlake, I think you could also assume that he was invited to participate in the Nashville episode of Sonic Highways, but couldn't for whatever reason. I forget what source mentioned that the special guest mega-pop star was supposed to be part of SH but ended up not being able to, but Timberlake would fit all of the criteria thus far.

Well, the fact the same unusual chord progression appears in at least two songs does lend itself to my interpretation.

The riffs and chords are VERY similar. That can't be coincidental.

I'm SO hoping for full-on concept album.
Please elaborate, can't hear this.

Funny you should say that, because there's a portion of the bridge (at 2:55 in the video) that reminds me a lot of the intro to Something From Nothing.

Everett True posted something trashing Dave today so I take that as a sign the album is good. He doesn't seem to like Dave being a success or doing anything positive.

The Japanese were reknown for using thin virgin vinyl, which only ever became a "thing" because US in particular pressing plants ran stampers until they created records that skipped, then notoriously scrapped thousands of pressings , melted them down and reused the vinyl. All in the name of $$$ saved.

So it's all marketing on both counts as very good quality thin vinyl with good stampers (like Japan) has produced some of the best pressings ever. Many 140g pressings can likewise sound utterly rubbish.

AKA Source means everything, marketing means nothing
thanks chaps!
