I already got butterflies watching 'Back and Forth' so I tought I'm gonna get killer butterflies and tears of joy when I actually see them. But nothing .
Of course I was happy to see them and automatically smiled when Dave goofed around and etc but no 'THIS IS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE I'M NEVER GONNA BE SO HAPPY EVER AGAIN' feeling I was hoping for. I feel like I got dumped by someone really cool. Anyone else ever got that kinda feeling?
I probably overtought it for myself.
You're not alone I got the same feeling after my first Foo concert. I was truly disappointed with myself, almost angry, but mostly sad. Not sure what happened, but I think that I just found being so close to them surreal or something. Like I couldn't believe I was actually there. I somehow felt very numb and afterwards I felt like it was just a dream. I don't know what was wrong.

Luckily, this was all gone at my second Foo concert and I know it won't come back. So don't worry, I'm sure that you'll really enjoy your next concert! Just relax beforehand

Last week in Stockholm was my 14th time seeing them. Usually afterwards for a few days there is this post-concert depression. Like, you wait for months and months, listen to the records over and over, watch the dvds, get really excited, go to the show, rock out .... and then it's over.

I doubt they'll do anymore Scandinavia gigs this year, at least in the summer/autumn anyway. Maybe they'll do an arena tour in the winter. Let's hope

I'll be seeing them again when I'm in my hometown of Chicago in August at Lolla. So at least I don't have to wait too long.

There's that secret gig in Copenhagen in August. Only for Scandinavian post-boarders.

Yeah it was probably something like that :/ Haha so stupid! I'm happy it was only that one time for me.

Dubster: Wow, really? That's so cool! Do you know when in August? I'm glad it's not in July, then I'd never be able to go since I'll be on vacation the whole month.

I was only kidding. It's kind of a joke in this thread.
But hey, I wouldn't mind if it happened.

I saw it was him and I let it go to my voice mail. If it was Dave, I would've answered

Well now you really got me disappointed! Just messing with me, both of you! Thanks, lol!
I surely wouldn't mind it either. Would be awesome!

But seriously, I'm really hoping for more concerts in Scandinavia. I don't feel like waiting 2 or 3 or maybe even many more years before seeing them here again

Aah, I see. It's like when Dave tries to call Charlotte, she doesn't answer. But if it was Josh.

I'm sorry, but I don't think they'll be back soon. It happens that they can reach a larger audience in the UK and the US, I think.

Haha, I actually misread that as Dinosaur Jr.
But yes, that's true.

Let it not be another 3 years here.

A bit late with this but I for one simply loved the gig in Kalasatama. Yes the audience was a bit out of it at parts but that was to be expected. Foo's are finally starting to be big enough here that every "cool" person in town simply has to "check them out". Sucks, but can't be helped.
But more importantly, the band was superb. I have never seen Foos live before so I was really, REALLY looking forward to this gig. And quite afraid that they would never be able to fulfill my expectations. Well, they did. Easily. The gig was one of the best I've ever seen and left me in this sublimely happy euforic state for months. In fact I'm still in the starry eyed "talks way too much about the Foos"-mode. And I might have to add that I normally don't do that. Being a 32 year old music fan and seeing my first rock gig at the tender age of 5, I'm not one to be made starry eyed that easily. I have no idea how long this will last but I must admit I'm liking it

I took quite a few photos from the gig but am not allowed to post a link to them here. So if interested just look for the Emporium of Weird and Wonderful in Blogspot, they're posted there.

I still do this. Today, listening to music on my cell-phone, I caught myself mouthing out the lyrics to "Let It Die". On a bus! With a tear in my eye. Whilst people were staring at me.

Yeah, I'm a scary fan.
